Hi Nic!
Finally caught up with you!
Link did work okay so I've done the petition and happy to do it!
Eyes still sore (reading computer doesn't help but addicted!) Hopefully an early night will work wonders so will send e-mail this week regardless.
I'll look in again to find out how the weekend went with your friend, sending hugs for her & the 2 kiddies.
later honey!

Hey SB, thank you for your support in signing the petition hun xxx
I can't believe I forgot to have a gripe at the sewing course being full. Which it was obviously going to be given it's so popular these days. If only I'd learned 2 years ago when I first got the machine. I'd have been ahead of my time, classes would have been cheaper and I could have had a nice little income from doing alterations and sewing classes and be on my way to set up my wee business plan in my head! Which I won't be able to do as I have no skillsor experience in the needed areas, never mind not being business minded, so I couldn't even set it up and get other people to run it for me.
But the ideas a re all floating about, waiting to get to them stars!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I am procrastinating again!
I am sitting in my gym gear, eating cake and drinking tea. I have no intention of going to the gym as I need to be at the doctor's in just over an hour. It's annoying me that I am going to the doctors as it's going to ruin a perectly decent NSD, as I will need to pay for parking.
If I switch the computer off and get my *ss in gear, I should be able to also fill up on diesel and get what I need to take to my friend's tomorrow so that I can maybe have tomorrow as a NSD instead. Who'd have thought there was so much forward planning involved in NSDs! Clearly I was duped into formally pledging to have 10, as I think we've probably all reaklised forward planning isn't my greatest fotre!
Though saying that, at last occy health have called me and I have an appointment next week! At bl**dy last! If they'd listened to me the first time, I'd have probably been back at work 8-12 weeks ago!
Now it looks as though I'll be back the week of my birthday, talk about bad timing :rotfl:. And I'll need to stay strong, I'm adamant I'm not using any more than 4 days of my holidays (left over from 2009/2010 holiday year, which is April to April) in a phased return as lack of decent lengthed holidays is partly why I got into such a state in the first place (I tend to take long weekends for city breaks, festivals, visiting friends and family... I don't know how to do a lying on the beach holiday!) Think it's pretty daft that you need to use your holidays for a phased return after a long term absence to be honest, but, hey ho, I don't make the rules!
So we'll see what happens! At least I have something to tell the doc when I go this afternoon. I've been going fortnightly since December, so we are now at the "they've painted your room a lovely colour"; "I hope you've something nice planned for Easter"; "I'm sorry your stuck in clinic on a lovely day like this" level of small talk. Which is much better than my initial visit when I burst into tears and said I didn't know what was going on but I wasn't me any more.
Though, if any of you are feeling that way, and you have a lovely doc, I totally recommend doing it! And, if you don't have a lovely doc, see different one's in your practice until you find one you like. There is a doc in my practice I like to call the evil one. That's because she told me to buy some new clothes to feel better! Not until there's a prescription for that on the NHS I'm afraid Missy! (Now, wouldn't that be a great.) (That's not the only reason I call her the evil one by the way, but I won't go into details.)
Oh dear, there really is no time for the gym now. That's a shame!

Just a quick update because again I am on the computer when there is somewhere else I should be right now!
Went to a gig at King Tut's last night, got free tickets from BBC audiences and it'll be on radio 1s Introducing show next week. The bands were fab - though I'd only ever heard of The Phantom Band (and that's because one of the guys in it works with a friend of mine in his day job!). :j spontaneous night out!
Doc was as lovely as ever. She even told me not to feel sorry for her cooped up in her clinic when the sun was out and shining.
Off to see my friend and jump on the trampoline with the kiddies for the next couple of days. She's over 100 names on the online petition at the last count and a couple of the shops in town have phoned and asked her for more copies of the paper petition. Citizen's Advice have also said they'll take her case on if the youth group don't do whatever it is they're expected to do next. :j
My phone keeps beeping, that'll be friend wondering where on earth I am... best run (shhhh, you never saw me here....)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Well I'm back and clealrly less fit than the last time as trampolining with a hyperactive kid was extremely difficult for me this weekend!
Let's pretend it was the sun that wiped me out :rotfl:.
The saga of the youth group is awful. The other person whose son (but not daughter) was asked to leave was then sacked from her job (in a local shop) as apparently the issue was causing her boss to lose customers! And a friend of a friend was slapped in the face for supposedly signing the petiton!
Do we really live in such a mad world?! The newspaper article was edited in such a way that it sounded as though it was the fault of the children not those running the group (the reporter rang to apoogise and to say that wasn't the article she submitted, but that's what it had been edited to). I find the whole thing awful! I thnk, because I work with adults wth learning disabilities, I usually meet people who are positive and enthusiastic when working with any-one with a disability. I didn't realise just how horribly ignorant some people evidently still are.
However, it's being investiged and there's still the option of Citizen's Advice becoming involved if the investigation seems at all dubious, so fingers crossed! And, happily, the kids seem oblivious.
But my MSE head got lost somewhere at the weekend! I think I must have left it behind in one of the bags I'd forgotten! There's currently lots of chnage in my pirse but between me paying my friend money I owed, being given petrol money, paying for shopping and kiddies stuff when my friend misplaced her purse, being given money I was owedand nipping out to see a friend whose birthday it is, I am completely confuded! ANd know the receipts in my purse will skew the spending diary somewhat as I will have to try and remember what I paid and what was paid to me! I feel a head explosion impending and I haven't even tried to work it out yet!
I'm also considering getting a Blackberry phone contract. My phone has been temperamental for the last year or more. Sometimes it decides it won't ring people, sometimes it decides to play a trick on me and ring them without the ring tone so they think I'm a mad-women. Often it huffily decides not to pass on answerphone messages to me and it always plays tricks on me with one of my friend's text messages, duping me with messages she sent months previously. I've tried all of Supernanny's techniques with it and none of them worked!
And then I discovered my friend and mum have Blacberry's on £20 monthly contract (which is £5 more than I currently pay) and I would get free cross Blackberry messages to the two of them, plus I can access my email and music... So I am thinking of phoning o2 to see what they will offer. (I've been with o2 on their SImplicity contract forever and currently get my broadband at £7.50 a month. which I'm very happy with, so I don't want to move from them really). But I'm still not sure about it... perhaps I just want a new phone! And perhaps I'd be as well saving up all those extra monthly £5 from a ridiculously long phone contract and buy myself a new phone (I bet I would refuse to spend £120 on a mobile phone!). Isn't it bizarre you can be locked into your phone contract for as long as a fixed price mortgage deal! Hmmmm, ok, will at least sleep on it and price compare! I have also just missed o2's fab cashback deal's as well, haven't I? Hmmm :undecided
Today's been an NSD so far but I have just realised it's the last day for getting 3 of Sew magazine for £3, so about ti ruin that as it's normally £6 or £7 per issue!
And I'm going to pout over the summer school day classes again! Definitiely going to go for the one day basic sewing class. But they also do Roman Blind making, what to do with fabric scraps, dressmaking and alterations, crafts, allotments & gardens... so I want do hundreds of them! I think the basic class is sensible, roman blinds would be great (I priced my living room window, which is a bay window, and it was going to cost over £1000 for blinds) and so would what to do with scrap material (I have a drawer full of scrap material!). Dress making and alterations might be best on hold until Septemer night classes start again, giving me a chance to learn the basics!
But I really want to go for it. It might mean I could leave second job earlier than planned by having useful skills I could sell! It might also be a way (assuming I like it and am able to do it without it looking like I've asked a 5 year old for help:rotfl:) and it might be longer term plan for going part-time in my actual job and doing something where I could be self-employed...
Plenty of ideas... just not enough sense, skill and businees acumen behind them all at the moment... baby steps...Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Has any-one ever tried a sinus rinse! It's like trying to drown yourself in the ocean!
Though I'm guessing forgetting to open my mouth is only a mistake I'll ever make once!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
But it certainly seems to have helped a little and I've only tried it once so far. Trying to be brave enough to do it again...Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

lol at the sinus rinse, i'd not heard of it but you sounded like you had fun.
i have a friend who makes quite a lot of money making curtains and blinds so keep your options open you never know where your sewing classes can take you. Even if you never end up selling them you can save yourself a fortune. I've just made a half decent attempt at covering my sofa's, one down one to go and i certainly couldn't have afforded to get them done professionally or get new ones but for £225 they will look great and much better than they were, if not perfect.0 -

Aw, thank you so much honey! The whole situation just strikes me a completely unecessary! I just don't think it would ever happen in a city; too much come-back. I don't understand how they're getting away with it. Though hopefully not for much longer!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
