So thought I would have a calming look at your diary as you were up too, and I'm really getting into it, I'll have to start from the beginning tomorrow.

Missy, plenty of people on here at this time of night.
Did the electricity short circuit and thats why the alarm went off?

oh I dont know, hadn't thought of that, I thought maybe a fly had flown into the path of the sensor, pretty scary when you're by yourself, have to be up at 0530 too!!! I hate it when OH is away!!
Thank you for answering though, I wrote on my own diary but all those lovelies are sleeping.

Aw Missymoo, sorry I just missed you, and I'm glad WASHER was still about to help keep you calm. I hope everything is ok and you managed to get back to sleep quickly. And I hope you're not too grumpy in the next five minutes or so, when your alarm goes off and you need to fall out of bed
. Make sure you get as much sympathy out of OH as you can! Take care hun x
I have just worked out that, if I can pay another £35.47 to one of my creditors soon, I'll have paid off exactly £2,000.00 in just over two months (started my diary on 1st Feb this year). *sound of jaw hitting floor* WOW! What a way to start! Let's hope I can keep the momentum going!

Hi nic,
I'm well impressed that you are considering making a dress for a summer wedding. I have a sewing machine which I got as a present - it was actually a 'here have this and start shortening your own jeans' sort of present but I've used it twice, decided sewing is not for me and still always take new jeans round to (yep you've guessed) good old Mom!
Your debt repayments are fantastic, mine seem to be almost on hold at the moment

I have no idea how I've managed that much! Though I was determined to pay of the credit card before the 0% ran out (which was this month) and it was sitting at £900 'n something, so that's helped!
Now just need to keep to that mind set! I think I'll get a wee book for all the things I want to do to the flat that I can't at the moment though and at least occupy myself with designing the flat of my dreams
.
Tixy - whether the dress ever gets made remains to be seen! Given I can't thread the machine without swearing! And have broken needles and continued sewing merrily away without noticing! ... And, if it does get made, whether it is wearable will be another story again
.
It's ok, the postie didn't eat my crisps! He brought them to me this morning. Guess what I'm having for lunch?Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Ok, I've done yet more sums... and if I transferred money to MBNA to reduce the loan costs, I could only afford to transfer £3000 to make the payments within the 0% time limit (assuming they offered me that). And I'd incur a £120 charge for the transfer. If I put that payment to the loan anyway, I'll get down to more or less the same amount in the same amount of time, so I think I'll save myself the hassle.
Though if they offered me a low, life of balance deal.... (I never had one of these, does any-one know anything about them? Interest rates? Time scales?)
Still waiting on friend to arrive to go to Ikea. Which is good as we are rapidly running out of the amount of time we can spend there before we need to get back to do other things
. Less time and money spent in Ikea the better I reckon! (Or at least, I willkeep telling myself this until she gets here!) Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Your poor friend
sounds like it's a lot of hassle she could do without being 8 months preggers.
28months isn't that far away
This years flying by already, so you could be debt free before you know it.
No idea about the lob card, I was thinking of getting one from mbna when the 0% runs out on my barclaycard.
Have a great time at Ikea, last time I went I was with OH and he wouldn't let me wander round (& spend money) just had to go straight for the book case we wanted. *boring*Proud to be dealing with my debts - LBM Mar 2010
