    Why am I not asleep!?

Forgot to update my crazy clothes challenge signature (though I am assuming this isn't actually the reason I'm not asleep!) so am going to do that now and then I must switch this d*mmed machine off and close my eyes!

You'll get it here... and if (like me) you have an aversion to Ardian Chile' and Christine Bleakley, if you start it around 18 minutes in, you won't have to put up with the rest of the show ;).

The place where the sewing classes reportedly are was shut again today :(. If it's shut again tomorrow, I may bravely go into the cafe opposite and ask in there - it seems to be the same community project that runs the two. I've also emailed but had no response. But maybe it's just because of the holiday weekend...

I eventually remembered to take my debit card to the gym to get a refund for the yoga course that was cancelled, so there's £32 heading back into that account... (purse has been staying resolutley at home due to my inability to walk past Asda's without just "popping in for milk", which was always invariably more than just milk!)

And I phoned Inland Revenue today and felt a bit daft. I sent away a letter asking for tax back on my professional registrations (hopefully will get the last 5 years back as I've never claimed before). They sent out the new tax codes for this year and I got three letters... so I called them up to ask why I have two tax codes for one of my jobs... only for the guy to point out I have three jobs!

D'oh! He's right - I was employed on the NHS bank list, but I never actually did any shifts for them after having an argument with a Nurse Consultant during training over the legalities of what she was saying . Kind of figured my main job and the bank job would be a conflict of interests after that so didn't take up any shifts with them (I should point out that the legalities I was arguing were due to the conflict between the two posts and the relevant people dealt with it, so there's no need to worry!). And then I forgot all about that "job"! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And the timing was just co-incidental. They've not processed my letter yet and I'd received the standard tax coding letters for the upcoming tax year. Which is good, because I thought they'd just decided I wasn't entitled to anything. But I might actually get some money back :D.

Oh and Lemon Tree, I found one of those plug cover things in the Betterware catalogue so here's to never having to unblock the drain on a Saturday night again! Can't say that was my favourite way to spend a Saturday night!

I've also been very well behaved and have just turned down a ticket to see Derren Brown for my friend's birthday tomorrow. £30 for a ticket . I don't like him that much, the TV will do me just fine. (Though I probably won't be thinking that as I wave my frind's off tomorrow!)

Hurray for yoga refund - I wouldnt bother with classes anyway to be honest, Barbara Curry's Video /DVD has always worked fine for me ;) Once you suss the breathing & learn the positions & become more flexible you can work out your own sequence to suit you :).

Off to check out your clothes challenge spends ...

Mum gave me a brilliant, easy to read book and DVD. I have major problems with the breathing though - never have been able to breath through my nose so trying to do a position and remeber when to inhale and exhale generally leads to me toppling over :D

I also have an "inflexible" leg which just won't behave or move the way I want it to. That also leads to lots of toppling over :D

But I do love it when I get it right - you can actually feel the stretch doing you good :)

And one day I may look as graceful as the women in the DVD :D

So I've locked myself out of my Alliance & Leicester online account again! And they need to send me out a new number again. And I will need to wait at least 4 working days again, before I can check my direct debits bills are all in order.

But the other two accounts look in order and I've £100 left forgroceries and bits and pieces for the month since I paid off MBNA (which, incidentally is now £25 in credit as I forgot the direct debit would be going in yesterday :rotfl:). £100 for the month should be ok as I've plenty of food in and should only need to top up on bread, milk and creme eggs :D.

And I've a mystery shop and survey credits to come... oh and cash back too... I'll be positively rolling in it :D :rotfl::rotfl:

And I've been shamed into formalising my NSDs. So I've signed up for 10 this month to see how it goes. I was so close today but I needed to pay 20p for car parking outside the doctors :). And tomorrow I will need to get fuel as I am dangerously close to the limit (2 miles to go! Whoops - I'm not the best at economical driving, that's for sure!)

And I'm currently being distracted by Sliding Doors on the telly :o.

Happy Easter to you all (have celebrated with creme egg ice cream, yummy!).

This sounds so much like me that it's untrue! :rotfl: I've locked myself out of my account as well and have no idea what is going on in there (some DDs have come out, I think). Would like to be able to see just to be sure...:o

Happy easter to you, too!

Pickle, I do it every time!

And I'm scared to use the debit card to check as I seem to remember changing the pin to make it easier to remember (and obviously, it wasn't easy to remember at all!)... but because it's my bills account I never use the card. I just know the ATM would also eat my card!

I wonder if playing about on my sewing machine at this time of night would keep my flat-mate awake? I don't feel at all sleepy. Maybe a DVD would be an easier option though!!!

  • Hi niccatw!

Jumped over from ' you know where' to let you know I'm gradually catching up with you! ;)

Would have looked in sooner had I known. Congrats on clearing your credit card honey!!! :T

sewing books I've picked up were sold off very cheaply at the library, I check every now and again & might be worth checking out at your local library. I gather the charity shops are a weakness so shouldn't mention books from there in case you're tempted to overspend! (charity shops here overcharge!!) ex library books from 20p ;)

I've had 2 really good yoga DVD's free with special K before so keep your eyes out! (really help with back pain, we sound to suffer the same co-ordination probs!) lol :rotfl:

What happened with bed by 12pm? :p

Will keep reading but well impressed hun!...Stay determined, you're doing great! :T

Must go back through to find out about your hairdo!! :)
