Ooh! I've been granted another star. I'm now serious about this money saving malarky
(My friends would probably agree, only they think I'm obsessive and addicted to this site...)
Best stop wobbling then (shhh, don't tell every-one how much I fight with my spending diary!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hi niccatw, what an honest and open post......fair shout! :j
I have periods of ignoring my food planning and spending diary and then get mad with myself when I pick it all back up again, but sometimes it does us good and refocuses us. Don't beat yourself up about it too much

Thank you Nelmer! Feeling the need to focus today!
Having the girls around tomorrow for a bit of an engagement party for my friend (a boy ruined her excitement by being blokey when there were no girls around to recover the situation by oohing and aahing over her ring. Boys, eh?)
Keep changing my mind on what to make, I only have the wee oven as I've still not fixed the element on the fan oven, so need to be careful I can do everything in the time scales. Cooking isn't my speciality - as you'll have no doubt gathered
But there's always pizza and ice-cream to fall back to!
I also better get my *ss in gear and clean this place! The old oven is still in the hall. But I can only move it by pushing it - and I'm pretty sure pushing it down two flights of stairs might p*ss off the neighbours! Is it bad form to inform my guests they get no food until they've carried an oven to the bins for me?
I should probably stop being nosey on here then and actually do what I am talking about!!!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I'm going to have to try my luck, or the next time the poor postie asks me to sign for a letter he's gonna regret I ever opened the door :rotfl:. Then they'll have to strike again as they discuss when oven removal was added to their job description

Ooh, meant to say, got my £1 cinema ticket through from Martin's email last week
. Yay! Alice 3D here I come!
And my mortgage statement came through this morning. It's still scary but it's starting to look healthier. Though I note N Rock have decided to ignore our telephone agreement to put all of my over-payment to the unsecured loan. Grrr! Thye're the ones wanting rid of us "bad mortgage" people, yet they don't do what sounds like common sense to me! Best go back to that list and start that letter writing spree
.
No excuses! Don't let me get away with it!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Oh b*gger! Just got an email to say it's free listing on ebay tomorrow and Sunday.
And have I done any of that ebay photography?!
Do you really need to be given the answer to that!

Hey, so this is what morning looks like!?
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Shhh, nope, I haven't been manically clenaing my wee flat since the last guest got into her (80 odd minute late) taxi.
Shhh, no I didn't drink too much Sol or eat too much [way too heavy] cheesecake!
I'm guessing I won't be around much this Sunday!

I've already cleaned too much... now, where'd I put my hand cream...
Happy Sundays... no wait, that isn't right...Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

There has never been as much left-over food in my flat!
Saturday night was my girly get together (we won't dwell on how much I might have spent, that my card was declined or that I've been too scared to check my online banking!!!). It turns out I can cook a wee bit after all!
I made a veggie cake - savoury cheesecake with a potato base! Which was scrumptious, even tohugh I do say so myself. Though next time I'll just use the half fat cream cheese - the philadelphia was too creamy, even for a cheese and cracker girl like myself.
I made vegetable jalousie (no, I don't know how you say it either). Basically veggies in puff pastry. Or in my case, puff pastry with a tiny smartering of veggies.
I made a Toamto quinoa rice thingy-ma-bob, which was yummy - and apparently super good for you.
And, as always, there was salad and ciabatta with oil and balsamic vinegar.
And there was cheesecake. A bit heavy for my liking. And perhaps a bit more well done than should have been the case! But not bad for a first attempt!
So I can do the cooking. And I can do the eating. I just need to remeber and do it when it's only me kicking aorund and I can't be bothered!
Anyway, it was a fun night. Lots of bubbly and beers all round. Slight disaster with taxis not turning up and being cancelled meaning it was half 4 before the last person left... at which point I decided that was the best time to clean absolutely everything up! I bet my flat-mate (with his dissertation due!) loved me clanking empties around at silly o'clock! Ah well. He's not said anything.
Sunday, as you can imagine, was a bit of a write-off! But I had a lovely lazy Sunday, staying in my pjs, reading and sleeping as I saw fit. Making it an easy NSD. Much needed after the supermarket bill!
Today I am still putting of photographing the ebay stash and updating the spending diary. And I'malso feeling guilty that I haven't been to the gym for over a week.
She says, with her cuppa and caramel nibbles by her side! Though I may feel guilty, I have no intentions of going today!
And tomorrow I'm visitng pregnant friend (which is a couple of hours round trip) so I might have a good excuse for tomorrow too!
None of this is getting that list done though, is it!
Think I should maybe quote it to bring it back to the front of my diary where's there's no hiding!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
