Well I've been good this evening, done the hoovering and the dishes, made lunch for tomorrow and ironed my clothes, set the table for tomorrow night so all I have to do is chuck dinner in the oven and enjoy having company over.
just waiting for the last of the washing to dry then I'll go off to bed with my flat the tidiest it's been in some time! woohoo
probably won't be online tomorrow, mum gets home so once my friends leave I'll likely spend an hour on the phone hearing all about her holiday. Been checking up on my wee sis who isn't feeling well an has noone to look after her...god forbid she'd have to follow in her big sis' footsteps and look after herself
look after you all and I'll catch up on thursday

Hi LJ! I hope the entertaining went really well - do spill all the news!
And how's your Mum?
Sorry that the buses were cr ap for you. It's annoying that something so important for getting people out of their cars is so........well......rubbish at times!
Why don't bus comapnies invest some time in charting people's journeys and laying on direct bus routes? I know where I live, there are many business parks on the south side of the town (I live in the north bit) and to get a bus there would take >1 hour because I would have to go into town then out again.
I have no clue how many people have to drive from the north to the south of the city for work at these places each day but I would hazard a guess it is enough to fill a few buses during rush hour. But lay on a direct bus? That's just crazy talk!
Ok rant over. Grrr.
Hope every thing is dandy hon. Can't wait to hear what the meal came out like.

Hi LA
just a quickie, bed is calling. enternaining went really well, dinner was scrumptious, all three plates were cleared and I'd thought I'd done FAR too much! Got a few potatoes to have with dinner tomo but thats it! My poor friend looks about to pop, only three weeks to go but baby has been in breach for ten weeks now so she's into hospital tomo morn to get poked about with, they are hoping she can still have a natural birth but we'll see. The wee one was adorable, she grows so quick at the moment, only a couple of weeks till her first birthday :j we were playing on the floor, I was chasing her but she kept sliding on my laminate floor and getting confused about what was happening, oh and she's started trying to dance, it's so cute!
Mum is doing well thank you, got home this morning to my poorly sister lol. Her holiday was great but my uncle is now going out with this woman who has THE worst kids going. 13 and 15 and openly drinking and smoking abetted by ther mother  by all accounts total b*ggers the whole time, drove my mum up the wall. Like me she says she had a good time but it wasn't the holiday they would have chosen. The wedding was amazing though.
well I'm all tidied up after my guests, dishes are done and living room has been tidied of all the stuffed toys E and I were playing with so I'm off to bed, wee sis txt me at 3am so didnt get back to sleep well last night.
catch up tomo xxx0 -

yeah you got that right, uncles oh's kids.
problem is I'll no doubt be meeting them on Friday night and where my mum managed to restrain herself I may not be able to :silenced: no patience and a big mouth are a bad combination sometimes.
by all accounts they inherited a bit of money, when my uncle started going round to their house he ended up getting gardeners in and stuff cause the place was such a tip. In my opinion it just proves that money doesn't buy class. I however have no money and lots of class
Today is kinda boring actually falling asleep all morning yawn! Goind shopping after work though, having a look for a new top or somethin to wear on friday night, got rellies to impress.0 -
Oh no....you're not getting the 'bus of doom' to the shops again today are you? :rotfl:
Glad the meal went well, I always envy people who can cook well enough to be confident they wont poison anyone if they invite them round for a meal!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Glad the entertaining went well and the food was just about all devoured!

Oh dear: re your Uncle and the kids he may be about to inherit!
I know this sounds wicked but....I can't wait to hear what you say or do when you meet them if they are awful!

yes i got the bus of doom but i got off after ten minutes in town rather than the cross town in ever increasing circles to tesco!
I've always enjoyed cooking from an early age, wanted to do home ec at school and thought about becoming a cook (likely!) but mum pushed me toward music and cookng stayed a hobby. I love trying new things and impressing people with it. Got great kicks when my friend mentioned it was like being in a restuarant last night!0 -

oh got a birthday card today with a lovely card in it with a poem type thing,
'Sometimes we feel that we are all alone, but when we least expect it, help can appear.
It may be a kind word from a stranger or a phone call at just the right time, and suddenly we are surrounded by love.
Miracles happen every day because angels are everywhere.'0 -
How nice of the card makers to think of all us DFW'ers
