Don't forget to do your daily 'searches' for things (anything!) on Kelkoo & The High Street Web as that will rack up a few more pence each day which of course all counts over the weeks and months.
(Kelkoo - they allow one search per day paying you 10p and The High Street Web allow you two at 8p each.)
I hope you have a SUPERB holiday!
Take care - enjoy your time off and OH MY GOD how could I have forgotten....C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S on the promotion already!! :T
Bye for now.
LA xx
PS I saw the last bit of Gok Wan on "How to L.G.N" they other night....I was wondering whether he was gay.....:D Good outcome on the show...she looked fab!
Hi LA
The dior issue got slightly larger yesterday because I have a problem, there I admitted it. Hi everyone I'm lynsay and I'm a dior addict! But I'm a pretty little addict with nice make up
lol will update my sig once I get back and get the net sorted at home. (don't even ask!!! )
I've done the daily clicks thing on quidco before and they've only once ever tracked so I'm going to stick to the bigger things for now me thinks. there are quite a few I can do but no point until I'm back from hols.
I think either Gok Wan is gay or I'm a monkeys uncle
Well chaps and chappettes tomorrow is h-day. In 24 hours I will be in the fabulous city of Glasgow en route to the port of aeroplanes. flight leaves at 4pm and by 8pm I will be on the sunny island of Crete  I can't believe it's here already and I'm so unprepared!! didn't realise how much hard work going on holiday was!!! I've got a few last minute things to pack tonight and a few me things to do to get ready (mani, pedi...the usual beach prep). Am soooooo excited!
I hope you all have 8 fantastic moneysaving days (cause I doubt I will) and I will be back with a vengence once I return as I'm amost close to skinto which means living ni debt and I'm damned if I'm going back there again!
Huge big hugs to all, I'll miss many of you (which is really sad seeing as how I've never met any of you!) but I think of lots of you as friends, even if I've not been aruond much recently.
Take care

well guys, seems I'm living up to the name of this diary. Despite the work put in to get me debt free my spending habits appear to be reverting back to pre lbm. I'm not sure whether it's a case of mental exhaustion and now I'm releaving it, being no wiser than I was or what. But the truth is I'm not managin to save any money at the moment and if my spending carries on like this I'm going to be a dfw again very soon which is NOT GOOD!
First thing I need to do is get back in control of my finances. Last night I made a list of my direct debits so I can know whats going out and when. Now I need to make a list of things to do and get them done! I'm afraid I'll have to start posting on this thing regularly again in order to keep it up, my bad habits appear to have a link to the amount of time I'm not spending on here!
To do,
-get details of home insurance claims in order to get quotes as renewal due in Oct.
-check electric bill and reduce dd accordingly (was paying arrears)
-pay off new look store card (£20 no interest) and cancel
-make list of debts from mum to work out what savings I should have
-buy bus pass to encourage nsd and small savings
-set up direct debit for council tax
this will be my list for this week and I'll update as I go alone then set another list next monday.
I can really do with as muh encouragment as you can spare as I find myself easily sidetracked at times

well hello there stranger! how were things on the yellow submarine? bet you missed the wee one something rotten!!! is he huge now?Hiya Lyns, how you doing? Len xx
things here are groovy-ish, got back from Crete last week, was fabulous, sunshine and sites! folk thought I was a bad flyer cause I was in tears when we landed but it actually just hit me what I'd achieved in the past year. I'd gone from an unhappy person in a dead end, minimum wage job, not making enough to cover my outgoings, nothing to look forward to blah blah blah. 12 months later I'm happier than ever, debt free and I'd even managed to go on my first holiday and pay cash for it. Tell me that wouldn't move anyone to tears? To top it off the day I got back I had another realisation....I was actually wearing only a bikini while on holiday and I didn't care. I wasn't paranoid about being bigger than the girls I was hanging around with I was just enjoying the sun and fun. I'd said that this year I wanted to lose enough weight to get into a bikini on holiday but it wasn't the weight I needed it was the confidence. There are no photos though so you'll have to take my word for it!
Now (as you can read above) I need to get my finger out and get my finances reorganised again. I've not really had a good look at my entire soa since starting on here a year ago and it needs a going over. If I'm going to start getting more out of life I need to start getting some savings away!0 -
Hey there LJ.
Well now. Where does one start?
Firstly....you can get back on track. You've already made a start with the direct debt list and the list of things you need to do. you're not burying your head in the sand and you know how good it is to be debt free and to know you have achieved this through hard work & determination.
*Just* how good did it feel booking that holiday cash? How good is it when you can buy dior make up and not worry about it? OK the latter needs willpower but you can do it!
Keep focussing on what you have done and what you want from the future and you will stay on track.
Maybe you should book another holiday so you have something to aim for? Just a thought.
I am so glad you weren't conscious of anything whilst you were on holiday & wearing the 'kini. Why should you have anyway? You're gorgeous so...what's the problem?
Listen honey, you just keeping writing things down, telling yourself how much you have achieved, come on here and get some motivation and it'll be fine.
You may have already done this but, just in case, do get the old spending diary going again (think you are posting on the daily spend threads aren't you?) or/and, get a little book (like they did on Spendaholics!) to write down justifications for buying everything you do! Good one that.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

LA, I love you xxx
the motivation is there I'm just a terrible procrastinator but I won't let it beat me.
I've got a couple of holiday thoughts at the moment, in fact I think I might find out about taking my mum away for a weekend...we'll see!
The spending diaryis still there BUT recently I've been bad about writing it down from receipts once a week or so but that means missing any un receipted spends but the diary is now in my bag and I'll update it every day!
thank you sooooo much for all the support xxx0 -
