    Hi LJ.

Just having a quick catch up (I'm not on the boards much at moment for varying reasons) so wanted to wave "hello" :hello: and say 'good-o' about coming to some decisions about life in general.

Catch you soon - you take care now.

Aww :grouphug: there's no reason to be miserable round us lot. There's always someone mad enough to bring a smile to your face. And there's certainly no reason to use hard words such as "epiphany".

Oh i know how crazy you all are, thats not my first sat night stuck here! I don't see epiphany as a strong word, it's an adjective that describes how I feel about my realisation!

It's only a bad idea, when you spend like you did before and don't change your ways - it is a consolidation loan in disguise. You are going to be a prudent spender now aren't you? Are you going to cut up your cards?

yes i'll still be a prudent spender, but i might not flog myself for a new pair of shoes once in a while either. yes i get great pleasure from cutting up credit cards although I will get myself a cashback card for my spends :D

And if you don't choose - what are you going to do with your qualification?

very little msot likely, but it's still a positive thing to have on my cv. The years teacher training applications for NEXT year (august 08 start) have to be in by xmas so I have plenty time to decide!

Well good luck, as they say. And remember to monitor your progress carefully - wouldn't want you wandering off now that you've decided on a path forward.

don't worry it'll take more than a clear cc balance to keep me off here, i need someone to keep me on the straight and narrow!

well so far today has been good! Work was ok as far as work goes a lot of giggling for a 6am start!

Took my forms to the solicitors and realised I'd made a complete balls up! I phoned the ones I'd used for my original mortgage plus my remortgage two years ago, but when I went to the office I realised I'd actually called the estate agents I'd bought it from who also have solicitors...ooops! still I was happy with their quote etc so  care! They have my forms and it's all in their hands now :D

I have also just had my bbq out for the first time this year...there is nothing like chargrilled corn on the cob and burgers on a lovely spring day! It's turned cloudy up here but still quite warm!

I'm going to play on here till 6ish doing piggy clicks etc then it's onto college work for three hours and a 10pm bedtime! check me managing to be organised two days in a row!

Epiphany: From the Greek epiphania "manifestation," often referring to the appearance of a divine being.

And I was nowhere near... ;)

So long as it is budgeted...

So then the question becomes - "What are you going to do with that CV?"

I trust the current job is merely a pause on the LJ career path. Where do you want that path to end up if not in teaching?

zed, I'm a bit more dominant than submissive so thanks veyr much but kindly put your whips away! :rotfl:

as for the lj career path, so long as it leads to a job where I'm happy and wealthy it can lead wherever....other than that I'm totally scoobied... I have a degree in zoology, am thinking of becoming a primary/high school biology teacher but am currently enjoying the views involved working in the leisure industry.... your guess is as good as mine!

thanks pap, yeah I hope the mortgage goes through quickly, it'll be one thing less to worry about!

and no I'm not tiring myself out with work. last week I went back to 'normal' hours and the same this week, no overtime at all! next week, well I'm actually the ONLY receptionist in the club but I'm not doing all the extra hours this time, they really should have had new staff by now and I have exams to think of.

right am off to bed for tonight. Nothing exciting to do tomorrow after work so straight home for two hours study, one hour dinner/cleaning, two hours study then off to yoga then bed!

    sleep tight peeps xx

Yeah yeah... That's what *you* think... ;) You'll be submissive when confronted by *that* shirt...

The problems with enjoying the views of the leisure industry is that it makes enjoying the views of motherhood either later than they could be, or more financially difficult than they could be. You need to be earning megabucks now, so you can go P/T later and still have the lifestyle.

You're going to have to think about what you like in a job: Meeting people? Ordering people about? Or what?

You needn't have a career linked to your degree.
