Cheap HPI Check for Cars

Sorry but if you are going to spend upwards of £5k on an 09 plate car then spending £20 to get your own HPI check done would be much safer and surely shouldn't be an issue?

I have done one of the cheap checks and it has come back saying that the mileage data is inconsistent which I don't really understand.

Its probably been clocked. So check the old MOTs and service history.

Although the Service book maybe a new one bought off ebay last week and made up.

With an Audi TT you want a FULL service history and a wallet full of receipts. Otherwise run away. Because you maybe the owner that will be collecting them ALL.

View the car 1st. Why waste a check on a car you have not even seen?

Sometimes its obvious that things are not right.

yes its awkward - so you stand there looking at the car... the guy swearing blind its not a cat anything... then you do the check & lo & behold cat d appears - is there a fast cheaper than £15 way to find out on the spot if its cat c/ d... then if it isnt do a second finance check after the results of the first...??

Nope. If you want a proper check thats actually worth doing then a proper
HPI, RAC, AA is worth every penny.

You can buy multiple checks for less money. But checking cars you have not seen and dont have the chassis numbers for is rather wasteful.
