    Well using this site just cost a colleague of mine £1.99...

    I mean it's only £1.99, he's not particularly bothered, but I recommended it to him following this post. They look like a legitimate site, it has a twitter page, but I performed the check and it just said 'Results loading' and it just said that for 3 hours until I had to close the page after I left work yesterday!"

    Any ideas? Or is that £1.99 we'll never see again?

    Its a car check. NOT an HPI check.

    You can do the same checks for FREE. DVLA website, Manufacturers technical sites etc.

    Just a spammer jumping on bandwagon.

    Hi guys I was searching earlier for cheaper hpi checks and came across this thread, I noticed when getting a valuation on a car confused.com do a check for £9.95 or £14.95 with a guarantee £10,000 or £20,000, this is the cheapest one I have seen excluding the text ones that you say aren't worth bothering with, are they as good as hpicheck.com or the AA and RAC or are they not?
