Hi all,
My Mum has just informed me she has been dealing with this company C.A.G,She has just received a letter stating that her claim was successful and she had got £3000 then below it claims she has to pay £1200 fees charged at 39%
After reading this thread i wish she would have told me sooner
Is there anything that can be done now? I`m assuming not as all has been signed and sealed basically
Also just seen a letter from lloyds confirming her monies due,its states if she is not happy with the amount to call them, this was received last week.0 -

No. Once you employ someone to do a job, even if the price is ridiculous for the amount of work, then it is too late.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). My husband signed to Claims Advisory Group for a PPI claim in April 2011. After a year of chasing them for a response and been told that the claim was with the Ombudsman and could take up to 18 months, I have just contacted the Ombudsman myself and found out that they have only just received the claim in March 2012. Does anybody know if there is any way of getting out of the contract with Claims Advisory Service as after a year of been lied to time after time and never receiving any communication from them I do not trust them to proceed with the claim.:mad:0

Oh dear. It sounds like a rejection may have been given to your complaint some time ago and only just reached FOS.
If it was rejected more than six months before the FOS got the complaint the firm complained against will timebar it.
I would check this with FOS. If it is timebarred then you will need to complain to CAG that, as a result of its incompetence you have lost your redress and you require it to reimburse you for the losses it has caused.0 -
Has anyone heard of this company? I got a cold call from them and they said they can get my PPI back from The Co-operative Bank. However, I feel a bit unsure as they seem too keen. They keep phoning to check I have got the claim package. I have to sign it immediately and post it back to them - they put a first class stamp on an addressed envelope and I have to call them when I get it, and again when I post it and the number of the post box I put it in - all this seems a bit excessive to me. I haven't signed anything yet and have done a search on Bing and can't find anything about them and feel a bit concerned - any advice?
You should be very concerned: I started 2 claimes with Claims Advisory Group back in Feb 2011. Gave them all the information they wanted by filling in thier forms and sending them back.
About 6 months later i still had not heard a thing, I contacted them and they told me i had to sign a letter of authority that they would send out to me (which i did right away after about 3 weeks) and they would should hear something from the lender within 8 weeks.
Three months later still no reply, I contacted them again. GUESS WHAT? they told me they would send out a letter of authority for me to sign and the would send it off to the lender and they should have a response within 8 weeks... HELLOOOO this happend 3 months earier.....
Anyway: It is now APRIL 2012 and after constant phone calls to them and listening to them saying it was the lender dragging thier feet and i had yet ANOTHER letter of authority to sign and they would send it off to the lender and would take ANOTHER 8 weeks to respond, I have cancelled everything to do with them. OH and by the way: they charge 39% of the final settlement.
I can't go on saying much more because i can feel myself getting more and more angry and i can't swear on hear. My advice is STAY WELL AWAY from them:mad:0 -

^^^^ Did you go to school at any time CAG employee??^^^
Or did you only go when the school was closed???
If so, I suggest night school to learn the very basics of written english....
You're grammar is appalling.Life is now good0 -
pp i is not always shows as a seprate ppi cost. read the news the banks have already admited to hiding it into interest rates and apr rates. bob diamond md of Llyods tsb resigned over it.
ROFL.
Apart from the obvious spelling and grammar errors, the more important failure here is that Bob Diamond has nothing to do with LloydsTSB. His resignation from Barclays had nothing to do with PPI.
Plus, PPI is not hidden in interest rates. It may be built into some loans and paid as one payment but it is a separate entry on the loan statement which increases the cost overall.out of all the ppi companies claims advisory group is defintly the largest one and the most heavily regualted one.
Is that perhaps because all the larger ones so far have been shut down by the MoJ due to rule breaches and misrepresentation? Who's next in that pecking order? All claims companies are regulated the same way and are meant to adhere to the same rule book. The MoJ only gets involved with the dodgy ones as regulation is light touch. So, your admission that they are the most heavily regulated confirms that the MoJ has concerns. Although we do not need your confirmation as it was released in March this year that the MoJ had CAG as one of the companies that was under investigation.
I would like to thank you for providing the confirmation of the quality of staff member that many of us suspected existed as well as confirmation of what we already knew.
I suspect, if your employer sees your post, they will not be at all impressed as all you have done is damage their image further......if that was indeed possible.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
