A holiday sounds like a great idea. Something to look forward to. I too think we are going to wait a few months till we start ttc. The hospital did say there is still a 1 in 5 chance we could miscarry again...:(

I don't feel brave either pebbles, it is just a nightmare.

I just want to be better now im so fed up of bleeding. Kx

i think everyone has a 1 in 5 chance of miscarrying whether they have had previous problems of not. don't worry about that thats just the statistics for how many pregnancies end that way. we are no more likely to miscarry next time than we were the first time.

know what you mean about the bleeding, it will be two weeks on tuesday since the erpc and i am still having very light spotting. if it's not gone by end of next week i am going to the doctors to rule out infections etc. the hospital said it could last for two weeks so not worrying yet.

You are correct - I was trying to work out how to say exactly the same thing.

Now the pain has gone, I just wish the bleeding would follow. It varies from very heavy to not much at all. I'm at two weeks on Monday too pebbles. Like you i think I'll wait for a few days then maybe call epu.

    Positive thoughts! X

When I had my MC I asked how long the bleeding should last and at what point I should see a doctor and they said if it lasted longer than two weeks I should see someone.

Looks like the bleeding has now stopped. Thank god. I'm back at work tomorrow too which I'm dreading. I wish everyone would stop wanting to talk about it though.

    kelly

was just about to log on to say my bleeding has stopped also!

glad that is out of the way and can get back to normal.

good luck back at work, my office were really good - everyone was being normal so that helped. i didn't want everyone to be worried what to say to me.

Pebbles, fancy that. We are the same. I'm glad it's done now too. Bit of a relief isnt it? Once the blood tests are done, that will be it. I'm back Saturday, great.

That's all I want at work, people to be normal, to act normally around me. I've already had a couple of texts from someone at work saying, we can have a good old natter and cry if you want.

    I don't want!!

Onwards and upwards for us both then pebbles x

Pebbles and kellyg, so sorry for what you have both been through.

I had a mc at 9 weeks in January, and it was possibly the worst thing I have ever been through.

Going back to work was tough as I work in an office of young parents, and I found that the initial sympathy disappeared quickly, and people seemed to forget what I had been through.

I specifically remember one girl who had texted me a lot during my mc to see how I was, offering me an ear/shoulder etc, standing right by my desk I think on my first or second day back having a very loud chat with several other people about child birth and breast feeding. It was so insensitive I just couldn't believe it.

I know that people don't mean to be unkind, but they seem to fall into 2 camps. Either they try and tiptoe around you, or they go the other way like she did and seem to completely disregard what's happened.

What you need, as kellyg said, is normality, and going back to work, though tough, does help with that.

It takes time guys, and you'll never forget, but things do get easier. My bleeding stopping was a big step towards me moving on, so glad you have both got to that point.

I'm now 36 weeks pregnant, and due at the beginning of Jan. Only saying that as I wanted to show you that things can turn out good after something so awful.

The beginning if 2010 I was in a world of pain, and would never have thought that come the end of 2010 things would have changed so much.

I still think about my lost baby, look at the scans from time to time and have a bit of a cry, but it does get easier.

sorry to go on...just wanted to wish everyone well who is going through this horrible time X

MV, thank you so much for your post. It all really helps.

That girl in your office sounds very insensitive. I hope I don't have any of that tomorrow. Fortunately my office has only three of us in it, though there is another 40 or so in the building.

Like you said, the bleeding stopping has helped, it's like we can get ready to move on, but never forget.

I'm so glad you are expecting again and are due very soon. Such an exciting time for you. It gives us all hope. I hope to be in the same situation soon.

Lots of luck for the future, thanks again for taking the time to write. Kx
