Sad to say I mc again . Scan showed it passed away two weeks ago but yet is still in me perfectly happy but no heartbeat.
Hospital Friday for medical management .
Feeling ok, numb but as had it before nowhere near as bad as first time.
Signed off for a week.
Good things are I got to 7 weeks this time, and now will be referred for a specialist.
Must focus on positives

I am so sorry tt39. My thoughts are with you and your family. Hope the specialist can shed some light as to why. Did you have the thyroid check last mc? Might be worth asking for a check if not. I had a check after my mc last year. Xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I am sad to say that I have to join the ranks of this thread after miscarrying our little boy at 19+6 on Monday evening.
Some of you will have seen my journey on the other pregnancy threads, where I have experienced numerous scares and bleeds throughout. Following our 20 week last Friday we were booked in at the "big hospital" on Monday to have baby's echogenic bowel investigated, but the doctors weren't overly concerned and felt it had been baby swallowing blood products that were in the amniotic fluid.
Monday morning I woke up at 6am with occasional cramps - not enough to make me take pain relief, but enough for me to keep an eye on them. They eased off a bit, but just to be safe at 9am I rang the community midwife, who told me to go into the hospital to be checked over before my appointment at the "big hospital". So off we went. Doctors and staff did not seem overly concerned, but asked to do an internal examination just to check my cervix - as soon as they attempted to do an internal examination I lost a large portion of my amniotic fluid. The doctors talked very frankly with us and saying that at 20 weeks it was not good, but we would go for a scan and play things day by day. Travel was not an option, so the visit to the "big hospital" in Newcastle was cancelled. We went for a scan in the maternity department; there was still some amniotic fluid (not a lot, but some), baby had a strong heartbeat and was happy enough - my cramps had also stopped and I wasn't leaking any more amniotic fluid after the examination.
So I was being admitted to hospital indefinitely to take things day by day, but the hospital staff were being quietly optimistic that the pregnancy would continue given the strong heartbeat of the baby and that the cramps had settled down pretty much completely.
However at hospital on Monday evening at 10pm, much to everyone's shock, I suddenly started having quite intense cramps about 5 minutes apart which built up incredibly rapidly into full flown labour. Our beautiful baby Thomas was born at 11:15pm weighing a tiny 401g.
I lost a lot of blood whilst in labour and my placenta wouldn't pass afterwards, despite several attempts of intervention from the doctors, so the following morning I was taken into surgery to have medical management. Lost yet more blood whilst in surgery, so spent most of Tuesday hooked up to blood transfusions and feeling very unwell. Tuesday evening we had a blessing with the hospital chaplain for Thomas with our parents present (having made the 250 mile journey after hearing our news). Thomas has now gone to the "big hospital" in Newcastle for a post-mortem to try and give us some answers. The hospital are arranging a funeral for Thomas, which should be in about a week and a half, maybe two weeks time.
Thankfully I am now home with hubby. I'm still feeling quite numb and I suspect it will for quite some time. I just don't know where to begin with any of this.

Mrs I - you poor love, I can't begin to think how you are feeling. I'm so sorry. Hope you are beginning to recover a bit physically and that you will get some answers from the investigations being carried out. I send you love, best wishes and sincere condolences.

Mrs I that is just a devastating story. Your poor thing. And to have a the medical problems on top of that.
I had been following your story as I'd also had bleeding in my last pregnancy and I am so sorry it has ended like this.
