ttc how was your day at work ? x

I hope your appointment goes well tea lover x

plmbl glad the bleeding has stopped. its hard not knowing when it will start properly though. xx

thank you all for being so caring xxxx

I got home at around 2am. i filled in the admittance forms etc, wrist bands on, all ready to be admitted. nurse took me to the loo so they could sit me on a bed pan to see if the clots were still plum sized and while i was out of the room bf told the doc that i didn't want to be in hospital.

so rather than having some decent painkillers, i got sent home with anti biotics and codeine (one of the blood test shows i have an infection). i don't remember what she said other than it's a weeks course of anti biotics, make sure i take it.

blood test showed "slight" infection setting in. i asked about possibility of the erpc not completely emptying my uterus and she said no that hardly ever happens so it's more likely to be infection.

i asked about blood loss and will i need another drip in a few more days if it keeps being this heavy - no answer.

so i kind of gave up. too tired to care. came home with bf then he told me on way home what he'd said to her that she had liquid morphine ready for me which would of meant just ONE night of no pain. but i couldn't even have that.

due back at work on Wednesday - have had a text from boss today asking if all is ok.

feel really fed up today and don't know what to do?

i have questions, and no where to put them to?

    1. Is it wise going back to work on Wednesday? Pain is bad still and has me bent double at times.

    2. I'm passing large clots which is meaning a lot of time on the loo, how much blood loss is enough to put me back on a drip which is what i needed last night?

    3. how long do i need to keep bleeding before gynae will do anything?

    4. When will it stop? The pain and bleeding

Hi Rosie, you can't go back to work Wednesday Hun, can you? I think you should take a few more days , rest of the week.

I'd call hospital/ go back today if you are still bad. Would've been better for you to stay in last night?

I'm not at work till Tom. I am dreading it as I hate not being honest but I also need to keep reason private . Will be ok once there xxx

    hope it goes ok. xx
i would of preferred staying in tbh, then they could of seen how much pain i was in. but bf didn't want me to stay in.

i think i'll wait till he's at work tomorrow, i'll ring GP and arrange emergency appointment, then see what he says? will that be ok?

Rosie, please don't go back on wednesday. Even if the pain lessens tomorrow I reckon you need a few pain-free days to get back on your feet before you even consider work. You've had an operation, you've been in hospital till the early hours, you've not slept properly... and that before you even consider the emotional impact of everything you've been through.

Is the pain any better than yesterday at all? I'd really consider going back to the hospital if it's still as bad. Don't worry about having been in before, being sent home, putting your bf out or anything like that. You're in pain and passing a lot of blood, that needs to be checked out properly.

I can't remember how long you've been off for (sorry) but you can self-certificate for the first 7 days, you'll need a fit note after that. If you do go back to the hospital they should be able to do one for you, although a lot of the time now they pass you to your GP for that.

Pain is slightly better but i took the new painkillers about half hour ago now.

i had the operation on Wednesday just gone and they did a sick note for me. i'll speak to gp about another sick note / fit note i guess for this week?

i really hate making a nuisance of myself in the hospital. im scared if i go back in they will just tell me to go home and wait it out. i am worried about blood loss though. bleeding through pad, knickers, trousers really worried me. plus clots not flushing in the loo :( sorry ... tmi !!
  • Rosie, if you read that post you made earlier (2.08pm) as if someone else had written it, what would you think??

I'm trying not to step out of line here but your bf doesn't sound like he has your best interests at heart. Infact, deliberately stopping you from receiving the correct care, attention and pain relief actually sounds heartless, cruel and controlling. I hope I'm wrong but I fear I'm not.

Your plan to go to Drs without him sounds a good one. I hope the infection clears up quickly, I know how bad I felt when I got one after the ERPC. I also had tissue left in my womb so it does happen despite what the nurse/Dr told you. Are you anaemic after all the blood loss?

Did you tell your boss the truth about what has happened?

I'm sorry if I'm wrong about your bf. I don't mean to upset you when you already have so much on your plate Xx

    ^ ^ ^ This. Exactly what I was thinking.
Rosie, please take care of yourself - I'd love to be able to offer real life support and care. Go back to the doctor or the hospital asap, and what your boyfriend wants will have to come after your needs and wishes.

Nothing is tmi here. We've all been through some things we probably wouldn't chat about in polite company but hey, that's what we're here for!

Please, please don't think you're making a nuisance of yourself. A&E is there for times like this, please make use of them. It sounds like when you were there last time they were looking at ways to treat you, so please go back and access that help and care again.

I guess to be charitable your bf could have been trying to help. It may have been that he knew you'd rather not be in hospital in ideal circumstances (hey, who would?) and it came across wrong to the hospital staff. Either way, don't worry about that now. What matters right now is getting yourself sorted and it really does sound like you could do with some more medical help to achieve that.

If I lived by you I'd come and pick you up and take you to the hospital. It's not much help but believe me, we're all with you in a weird virtual way!
