PLMBL I am so sorry, I hope you are ok, thinking of you.

Today is a bad day, its 5 months today since my m/c, we have been trying again with no success yet. I feel so sad today :-(
  • Thank you so much for the support everyone. Just a quick post as I'm now on to my 2nd night in hospital. Had epic bleeding yesterday, fainted and had to go on a drip. Still didn't pass what I need to, so (without being too graphic) a lovely Dr helped me along and I avoided an operation as such. Still very weak, haemoglobin and BP low, so they are keeping me in and on iron.

Will post properly when I'm home. I'm not sure what tests I will have next but they will test the twins too. Xx

    Hi PLMBL,
Thank you for the update - it's good to hear that you've been well looked after although it all sounds pretty traumatic. It won't be long now till you're home and can rest quietly amongst all your own stuff (and I hope be cared for by your OH).

Hopefully you'll get some answers from the tests they're going to do. Take care of yourself and post as much or as little as you like.

Any name - I have only had the thyroid testing which the first stage has come back normal just awaiting the 2nd stage results. I am sorry you have had to face all those tests but anything to give some hope.
Fingers crossed for your other investigations.

Lara- I am not sure I am ready or not ready. All I can think is how pregnant I should be.

Ncsmummy - sorry your feeling :-( hugs. I hope you get your bfp soon.

Plmbl- I am glad you are being looked after. My blood pressure was so low I wasn't allowed to the toilet alone. Not what you want when you are bleeding. Hope your recovery comes quick and you get an answer.

    Xx

  • Thank you MsB and samtoby. I got home a couple of hours ago but have taken up residence on the sofa. I'm very tired and weak but not dizzy any more. Sam, I had to use a comode next to my bed with at least one nurse present, usually two. Highly undignified but better than collapsing on the floor (which I did before the comode rule was introduced!).

The hospital got me to sign forms before I left so they can do tests on the placenta and foetuses. I will get the results within 4 weeks and then they will test DH and I too.

Just had a cry at a clearblue advert :( I should have had my 12 week scan today (should have been 13 weeks though) and can't stop thinking how exciting it would have been to have discovered 2 live twins today. Also, today would have been my Dad's 57th birthday, the 7th year he hasn't been here. Lots of emotions Xx

PLMBL, my heart goes out to you - what a day for you. I'm not surprised you're tearful.
Please remember you're not alone, there are so many people who understand your sadness and anger and inability to understand what's happened.
Take care of yourself. Rest, relax as much as you can and eat/drink whatever you can manage. Hope you get a good night's sleep in your own bed.

So sorry for you PLMBL hugs to you. I didn't get a commode but fainting is no fun.

I hope you get some answers in your tests. xx

  • Thank you all, I just feel so useless. Just climbed the stairs to the bathroom which felt like Mt Everest, lost another bloodclot while up there (sorry TMI), and had to come down the stairs on my bottom as I felt so weak. Crying again now. Haven't washed my hair since Sunday and I normally do it every day. Feel disgusting but don't have the energy to do anything about it. :(

PLMBL, have a big hug. Try to forget your hair being dirty and do something nice for yourself that's not tiring e.g. put on some hand cream, paint your nails, watch something appropriately mindless on TV or online...we're with you in spirit.

    MsB xx
