  • I've no idea they just told me things were the exact same as last week and hasn't progressed
  • Ive posted a seperate thread, been trying to find this one

Im currently losing our baby. We had the dating scan on weds, and our Beanie Baby had already died. I started bleeding yesterday, and now the cramps have started. The reality has hit.

I had a MC last January, I was only around 7 weeks then, but I am 12/13 weeks this time. Just when I thought we were going to be safe.

Feel so utterly utterly crap right now. People (well meaning I guess) are doing the "you will have another" or " there would have been something wrong with him"

    THAT DOESNT HELP

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Just want to lock myself in a dark room, and sleep/cry/eat McDonalds till its all over.

((hugs)) to the other ladies who have/are also going through this. Ive just binned all the preg stuff, and deleted all the baby emails

It's fine to lock yourself in a dark room or to rant or cry threemutleys. Whatever it takes to get you through a crap time. We've all been through it on this thread and between us we've probably heard all the platitudes out there. None of them help. The fact is that miscarriage sucks. It is a bereavement even though few people will acknowledge it as such to those going through it and it takes a long time to "recover" from. Be kind to yourself and feel free to rant and vent here as much as you need.

Are you going to have the mc at home or are the hospital booking you in for medical or surgical management? I only ask because for me the mental pain was much worse than the physical - although I ended up having an erpc in hospital as Im a wimp with pain so I cant compare it really to what some of the ladies on this thread have gone through having it at home, although I was absolutely terrified of having an anaesthetic and generally being in hospital. But if you are going to have that then I posted on here my experience of it.

I was lucky in that my friends & family were really supportive. If you have friends you can talk to, who wont say stupid things, then talk to them if it helps.

I felt the same way about wanting to lock myself in a dark room. I told my Mum I was never going to leave my house ever again. But I did - I just didnt go out by myself for a couple of weeks. And I didnt let anyone force me into doing anything I didnt want to. I pretty much sat on the sofa crying for 2 weeks.

The ladies on this thread were right in that it does get better with time, but when it happens I think you just need to let yourself feel like carp for a while and dont try to put on a brave face or anything. Like Nicki said let yourself scream or cry.

Have you got a supportive OH?
  • Im going to stay at home Claire.

I hated the poking and proding that I had last year with it. I am in agony here atm, sorry for TMI but have passed several large looking blobs....dont even want to think about what they could be:(:(

I think im going to take a bit of time off with this one, cant deal with anyone or anything but the OH, Ds and myself.

Glad you found the thread threemuttleys. You can share anything you want here and there'll always be someone who understands even if they haven't been through the very same thing.

Hope you are able to get some support and help from your family, sometimes it can be difficult for people to understand.

    MsB x

You can only do what you feel is best so if thats staying at home then so be it. Just make sure if youre not sure its 'finished' coming out so to speak - sorry dont know how else to word that, you get checked by the Dr so you dont get an infection or anything. Or if the bleeding gets too much etc

Most definitely take some time off. People take time off work with colds for goodness sake so dont worry about that.
  • Argh!

I made an emergency doctors appointment this morning, and saw a different GP this time. I am STILL bleeding, and getting pain on and off, it was so bad last time night I considered visiting A&E.

Well, she suspects I did have another (imcomplete) miscarriage over the Christmas period. I am waiting for an emergency scan appointment to confirm this, and then it will probably by an erpc again.

    So FED UP! :(

Really sorry, hope the scan comes through asap and whatever needs to be done is done soon. Take care of yourself.
