  • Hey courgette, sorry to hear you are still getting pregnancy symptoms. I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help, but 6 weeks was what the hospital told me after my first mc.

have you spoken to anyone about it?

How are you coping btw? Are things getting any easier? x

Unfortunately things are just getting harder and my mental health is really going downhill. More fertile after mc my arsch.

Have made another GP appointment for tomorrow. I will actually walk out if they even attempt the 'mc are a normal part of pg' line again

  • I can't believe medical professionals say stuff like that. It's just unbelievable.

When are miscarriages going to start being taken seriously??

Are you getting any counselling? I'm not sure if that would help. I tried counselling for various issues through the NHS a year or so ago, but only went to 3 sessions. I just didn't feel it was helping me, but I do know other people who have found it helpful.

If I were feeling stronger I'd be writing a letter of complaint. Both times straight after having my scans I was told about women who'd had it worse (implication: pull your socks up and stop crying). I wonder whether it's standard practise to tell cancer patients there was always a 1:3 chance of contracting the disease so they should count themselves lucky it's not worse. Sorry if anyone finds that comment offensive.

Haven't had counselling as I just assumed I'd be able to dust myself down and crack on like I did last time. I also thought after 4 months I'd be pregnant again.

Courgette i had 'pregnancy' symptoms for about 3 cycles after my mc but then my cycles went haywire again so don't know how long it would have gone on for.

And i found the counselling i had extremely useful.

Hugs and virtual love to all, especially Kitten Pie, i'll be thinking of you on Friday, i'm sure your boys will love their lanterns x x

  • Courgette maybe you should look into specific counselling for pregnancy loss. It may help you to make sense of it all.

Have you been charting your cycles in anyway? I think I recall you saying you were taking a step back a bit from it all as it was getting too much?

Also sending love to kitten pie and everyone else struggling.

I have taken a day off work today as I am feeling so anxious and stressed by everything. I just don't want to be around anybody today.

I'm counting the days and then just noticing signs rather than charting. I always have really strong ov pains so can't not notice it. I think if I properly start charting it will finish me off stress-wise.

I'm gonna talk to GP tomorrow about counselling. Will write a list I reckon. I've also taken the day off work, my nerves are shot to pieces

  • Mine too.

I woke up this morning and just couldn't face any of it. The hour+ commute, the office, people in the office!

I just need a quiet 'me' day.
