Hello Ladies
So sorry to read of all the losses, I haven't posted in here since my loss last year. Unfortunately I have reason to post againI had missed miscarriage 3 weeks ago, this time @12+6. I had a scan that showed no heartbeat, and development had stopped 1 week earlier. I had an ERPC and the baby was sent for testing, we await the results. I developed a bladder infection a few days later, and I had a lot of retained tissue afterwards, and despite passing some at home, there was still some left, so was given medical management (tablets) so that I could pass the rest, it got stuck in my cervix and they had to pull it out
Thankfully last week another scan revealed an empty womb, and I thought it was all over.....until 2 nights ago I woke up having a contraction that lasted 45 mins!! My hubby called out the emergency doc, at 4am and I have been diagnosed with a womb infection  so I am now on 2 lots of strong antibiotics and painkillers and just can't wait for it all to be over already!! As if the emotional stuff isn't hard enough on it's own!!!

Feeling like poo today, not sure why. I had a lovely weekend staying with an old friend in Essex, now back home and got leave from work until 5th September :T so I should feel great, but I feel weepy & hormonal. I was watching the Simpsons with my son earlier, there was a bit where Lisa was on a school trip and was crying as she missed Marge, and it made me cry!
I'm hoping this means AF is on her way, although it's only just over 2 weeks since my EPRC so may be a little soon. Strange isn't it, this is the only time you want AF to show
Hope everyone is OK xxxx0 -
Hugs to you xx
I'm having a really bad day today. I think it's the so called hormone crash. It would certainly make sense.
Hope you're all ok, as well as you can be anyway xx:A

I'm really sad to be joining this thread today. I started bleeding on Saturday and this morning it was confirmed that my little one has not made it, and I am booked for an ERPC tomorrow afternoon.
Please can anyone who has had this done, tell me what I will need afterwards, or to take with me. Am trying to be practical and make arrangements for my other kids and for the aftermath today. I imagine I will need more pads for the next few days, but is that all?
Still feeling quite shellshocked. We spent the weekend flip-flopping between utter despair and faint hope, but when I woke up this morning and my small pregnancy bloat was gone and my jeans slipped on easily, I knew in my heart it was gone. I still have the sore boobs and the morning sickness but the doctor says this should go quickly after the op tomorrow.0 -
(((hugs))) Nicki..
.. you will need to take pads with you but other than that nothing else, though a book or something might alleviate the boredom before they boot you out!.. just the usual no jewellry etc rules apply like any op. Afterwards you tend not to bleed too much.. heavy period and usually for me about as long. Afterwards I felt fine tbh.. was shopping the same afternoon.. we actually went on the way home from the hospital.. was a bit crampy but fine..
ERPC is far less traumatic than anything else tbh..
Maybe persuade hubby to cook dinner but I have had 5 and been back to normal routines on getting home..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
thought I was holding things together ok until OH's insurance company just phoned to tell me I needed to get my doctor to confirm I am not having an abortion, before they will cover it. I am sure they could have found a more sensitive way of dealing with this situation, if they'd given it a little thought.
