  • Hi Mary
I love that i've been in so many peoples thoughts - people who dont even know me - This forum is so full of such fantastic support
I'm coping not too badly - the docs etc expect me to be in meltdown but thats just not how i roll :)
Don't get me wrong there are days i would happily pull the duvet over my head and not get up at all but mostly i'm keeping busy and taking it a day at a time.

The only thing i would urge you to do is to do whatever YOU need to do - its the only way to get through the next wee while xx. Sometimes we have to be a little bit selfish and stop worrying about annoying others. Sometimes its easier said than done though. As pigpen said if your partners family knew your situation it would make it a lot easier as they would be able to be sensitive to your feelings and would understand if you needed a little space etc. If you feel you can i would suggest you speak to your oh's mum and explain things to her - i bet you will feel better for it xx
Please feel free to talk on here as much as you need to or i am more than happy for you to pm me or anytihng else i can do to help xx

Thank you.. but the loss was theirs and if I am quite honest the only emotion I have about it is relief! The timing was not right for them.. but I am doing my supportive parent thing to them because that is what they need and what is right.

Their time will come and it will be right.. hopefully not for a while though!

I am.. managing.. is probably the right word to use.. thank you.

You are often in my thoughts too.. and the others who have had their late losses.. you all remind me how lucky I really am when I am moaning I am in pain and cant sleep and just want the end to come as fast as possible (10 weeks left).. I am blessed.

Hello all - I am terribly sorry for all your losses. I wish you all strength and to be surrounded by lovely people.

Just to let you know, I had three miscarriages last year and my parents and sister and that side of the family knows of none of them. I decided not to tell them as I had my support chain here with my husband and a couple of friends. My parents can be overbearing and smothering even when living 3000 miles away so it was my choice.

My husband told his family after Christmas. His mum had guessed as we send some Christmas cards from the miscarriage association.
rather - he told his sister who said his mum knew and i think she passed on the info, we didn't talk to his mum directly... it's the way we are...

but as a hopefully hopeful story - as it's still early days - I am now 15w pregnant. Was monitored at the recurrent miscarriage clinic, saw the baby at 6, 8 and 10 weeks and now am in the normal care and saw it again at 12w. and this wednesday I heard the heartbeat for the first time.

as this will be my first child ever it is a momentous occasion - still anxious, still nervous and I am aware anything can happen, but it's the further i have ever been.

i wish you all strength, good support from whereever you need it and happiness in the future

I started a misscarriage a few days ago. It's got worse now and almost all over I should imagine. Will go to the EPU to check it's complete in the next few days.

I have no idea why, I've not had alcohol, been taking pregnacare, am not overweight. It's twice in a few years for me!

Starting to wonder if my body is knackered after twins!

It's not very nice, it's very painful and not knowing why is so frustrating .

Good luck all, I don't think I will be TTC now :)
