I was trying to do waht my boyfriend did to me when I finished off a huge bar of chocolate (about 700 cals!!) He asked me why I did it and I had no idea. I won't be doing it again and I hope the OP might think next time she goes back for the 3rd biscuit "why am I doing this?" :embarasse
Saying what's done is done and I'll cut back in future is true but very reactive advice. I was just trying to be proactive. :lipsrsealMortgage Free by 40 Challenge #190 -

I think its great to be proactive and not indulge each other, but I also think a lot of people stress eat/eat under pressure.so I think its the right question, but perhaps could be phrased differently.
Did you ever find out why you ate the 700 cal bar of chocolate (which while unhealthy could still have been a losing day)? I think if I go over my allowance the reasons are many...sometimes plain old hunger, sometimes learned behavior, but most often being less ..connected with whats going on. I'll eat the third biscuit with out guilt if I'm eating it and enjoying it actively, but if its just going in because its there is when its ''negative'' eating for me.0 -
I have been bad today. Not disastrous, but pretty bad. I must make up for it tomorrow and get back on track, as it is only 2.5 weeks till my hols. I almost feel like giving up, as I know I won't lose anything significant (or at all!) by then, but I am trying to fight that feeling.
My mantra is going something like this:
If I give up, I definitely won't lose weight.
If I keep going, I might only lose 1lb in the next 2 weeks but at least that's something, and I can keep eating well and exercising while on hols, thus keeping up the good work.
But I still want a KitKat.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Weigh in this morning was disapointing but expected. I have been drinking more days than I should have and indulged in various naughty fattening treats.
I put on 1/2 pound so I learned my lesson and am now back on track.
Well apart from the curry I just had oops!0 -
Are you exercising? This doesn't seem like enough cals if you are exercising so what could be happening is your body is clinging on to any cals you take in as it thinks it's starving.
Or maybe you are 'forgetting' other things your having. Any teaspoons of this or licks of that? They all add up!
Lastly maybe you've just hit a level and you can either keep going as you will lose weight again soon or totally change your routine/diet again so your body is shocked into losing weight. :A
HTH
Hiya no I dont get time to exercise, I wish I did but I am a single mum of 4 and I work 7.30am till 6.00pm so once i get home its housework time!
I dont have anything else at all, no licks or anything all I have is exactly what I have said.....and the scarey part is I only eat that because I know I have to eat, I dont get hungary at all.
Just feeling really fed up today, done so well since xmas and now it all seems to have stopped.
Today I had
Porridge with blackberries
carrot and corriander soup and 2 ryvitas
smoked salmon and salad
5 large glasses of water and 4 cups of black coffee.0 -
Please don't give up after a binge. They happen, and to beat oneself up over it is counter productive because it makes you feel bad then binge again! Life should be good...dieting or otherwise.
FWIW I'm sure I'll be lucky to sts this month I think. I just did the exercise vid....and boy those days of make a difference, ouch today! (almost gave up twice )0 -
Glad i'm not the only one hitting a hard week
I've been craving sweet things this week and since monday i've been weighing the same/more than i did when i started eating less so i've been feeling very demotivated
I've not been calorie counting this week but i probably will next week. I updated my counts last week but it's a bit buried. I lost 4253 calories even though i managed to add up the dinner party/drinking night so i'm feeling a bit miffed that the weight gain shouldn't be there.
Sorry, just fancied a moan0 -
