Evening all
It seem's like it's everyone's weigh in day today!...........Thankfully, I weighed 3lb lighter this morning
so I'm well chuffed with myself as I did think that I wasn't doing to well at all mid week, but since that point I seemed to get a grips with it again and control myself.
And although I didn't manage to get a swim in 2day again (cos I'm STILL full of cold ), I'm determined to take the kids next week during half term.
The next 3 day's hubby has to have the car for work, so I will have no choice but to walk both morning and afternoon school runs (twice on thursday as ds goes to nursery that day) so, just praying that we don't get too much snow (it's been snowing all day here but not settling - thankfully!).
Anyway well done everybody who's had a loss  and  to all the newbies and :grouphug: to all the sts'ers and gainer's.

PS: I reserve the right to swap celery for leek. Cooked celery..... blehk!
Its amazing how tatses differ, I put a mirepoix (carrot celery and onion) in almost everything I can, and braised celery I find delicious. I also like cooked lettuce but struggle with cooked cucumbers. I want to like them, and I think its more the recipes I've tried than the cucs them selves....I have a recipe for stuffed cucumbers to try next.0 -
Morning all!
coco1980, well done on getting up early to have some Wii time, bet you feel good now!!!
poshstock, congrats on the 3lb loss, brilliant news!!
I appear to be getting a cold as my sinuses are all bunged up and my tastebuds have disappeared. Now, do I use this as a golden opportunity to eat less while I feel like this (no point eating lots if I can't taste it lol)?

Me again. I'd woken up this morning feeling somehow lighter than yesterday, so hopped on the scales again. 135.2lbs!!!! That's 1.8lbs off since yesterday!!! Now clearly my scales are evil and always give me a higher reading on a Monday, so maybe I should move my WI day.
Anyway, that's me happy for the rest of the day.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

That looks like a great candidate for the slow cooker too. 30 minutes oven time translates to 5-6 hours on Low in the slow cooker.
Home made baked beans

Exactly! I loathe celery so just left it out of the recipe altogether.Me again. I'd woken up this morning feeling somehow lighter than yesterday, so hopped on the scales again. 135.2lbs!!!! Not sure if any of you make this already, but orange flavoured jelly made with skimmed milk instead of water is nice and you can grate a bit of 70% cocoa dark chocolate on the top if you need a bit of a chocolate kick. Low calorie and quite filling if you eat it slowly with a teaspoon!
I'm going to try this later for tomorrow. Sugar free jelly can really fill a bit of a gap. I like it with fruit set in it.
Also I found out that flan cases (something I've never, ever bought) don't work out calorific per serving, so lots of scope there for puddings.
Finally, I need cheese for a recipe this week, and decided to check out lower fat cheese. I feel a bit uncomfortable about this as I tend to buy cheddar cheese at least from a provenance I feel ethical about. HAving checked the three available in orrisons, the Morrisons own is substantially lower in calories, but not sure how/where produced. You can't check everything you buy, but I feel a bit guilty about this cheese purchase.
BTW, I placed my oyster order for the weekend....remember its valntines day....and osters are 10cals each...so you can eat them with some abandon. They are very filling (I can't eat 12 easily) and make a good, low cal and healthy forst course to allow for some chocolate dipped lover later in the day0 -
