  • I'm glad i'm not the only one with the cereal. I like porridge but i cant really be bothered in the mornings to do it on the hob and the microwave always seems to make it boil it over unless i keep opening the door every 10 seconds.

Lostinrates the tinned fruit/cereal crumble sounds like a good idea. Will probably do it this weekend for pudding :)

Ok Coco to make you feel better, im having oil central heating fitted, Gas CH is a totally calm and organized Zen affair i believe :D
another one of lifes mysteries is why when i get workmen in they are always aged about 90 & and drink enough coffee to sink the titanic, not a diet coke in sight:rotfl:

Im going to organize myself better today, toast for breckie, beans on toast for lunch, then if i can clear the kitchen before the kids get home, med veg &quorn for tea, (if i dont get the cupboards back) we will be off down the local for a pub tea, kids will be moaning if i suggest takeout for a second night, least they can have sausages&mash at the pub.

    Have a good day everyone

yeah I ended up with dominoes between me and ds last night, as oh just had to go watch Robbie Keanes debut with celtic with all his mates  i decided when i had to clear rooms for this that we would treat it like a house move and bin everything, my kitchen last night(& this morn) resembles a rubbish tip lol.

had cereal for brekkie, lunch is soup and a banana and dinner is my curry

    Have a good day all:D

  • Good morning,
Re. the cereal discussion, I started weighing out cereals when I started cutting down in December and it´s true that what is deemed to be a serving is small. Cereals with higher levels of fibre keep you full for longer. I am not keen on porridge so I have two weetabix with hot skimmed milk and one level teaspoon of sugar for breakfast; that works out to approx 250 calories (I have a lot of milk) and usually keeps me full until lunchtime...and warms me up in the morning before starting the cold walk to work!
I am full of a cold atm and can´t really taste food but I haven´t lost my appetite at all.
The black trousers I virtually live in for work (until I can get back into the other two pairs I am too fat for) felt loose yesterday so that cheered me up.
Have a good day everyone and if like me, you get a really bad chocolate craving in the evening after dinner, go to bed early!:rotfl:

lol, no CH being fitted, but we did run out of oil last week....assured we'll have some today...its not the warmth thats a problem its drying clothes....as a result I have heaps of dirty washing just waiting for the oil delivery to be here before I risk putting it through: having wet clothes about the place is truly dreadful. :) A further complication here is that our pipework to the septic tank has collapsed, and needs replacing, so it blocks up and has to be rodded regularly....last night the shower stopped draining with no warning...grrr. Roll on sring wen it will be repaired and washing is hung outside!

Poor you! We do have one functional radiator (runs off the hot water which we can use the immersion switch for) so I might get the delicates through...clear the machine for the more heavy duty washing.....
  • Morning :)

Just worked out what i ate yesterday which wasn't really enough (1151kcal) so i will try to be healthier today (might go out & get bananas or nuts to snack on) I did pretty well with excersise even though i got the bus back from an exam when i was planning on walking. It had started snowing though! I think todays only exercise will be wii fit.

I think i've volunteered to make some cake for a roast duck dinner at a friends house at the weekend. I don't think i know any healthy cake really.

All cake is healthy in moderation IMO. In fact there are various recipes for all bran cakes: personally I'd stick with something delicious an just have a sliver. :)
