Oops, posted this in the old thread by accident!!! :rotfl:

Just been for a walk for about an hour and 20 mins (but it was really fast). So that's about 2 hours and 40 mins walking today.

Now off to make a tasty healthy veg stir fry.

I did eat some cheesecake earlier, so feel the need to atone for that. I'm over the disappointment of today's WI and am ready to face February!!

It is minging here, I hate rain! Hope it's not windy as well. I am hoping to keep up the good work with some more walking this evening (although OH is trying to get me to go swimming and I don't really like swimming, hmm what to do?).

If you don't like it then don't go! Stick to something that you enjoy doing - you're more likely to stick to it. I love swimming but even so, it was a right strain to get myself out of bed early this morning and face the rain (why does it always rain when I go swimming??) and then all the old dears doing the world's slowest backstroke in the pool. I have no patience at that time of day so I think I'll be mostly sticking to the evening swim as it's so much quieter.

has anyone ever tried out any of the fitness channels on the telly? Theres a step class on at half nine that i'm going to give a go, if i like it it's something i could do before work.

I've not tried tv channels (not sure if they're on freeview) but i like the step class at the gym except for being really uncoordinated (i've been about 4 times but still can't do anything with my arms at the same time as stepping!) Something you can fit in before work is great, good motivation for the rest of the day if you've made a good start :)

Is it just me or has anyone else who's started weighing food out finding that 'a portion' of cereal is really teeny? I'd pour out 1.5-2 times as much if i was guessing what a portion looked like.

Hope everyone had a good day 1 :)

I think I may have persuaded Mr Bramble to join me in Febs challenge.
Mr Bramble is still allowed 2 pints a week at 180 calories each because loosing weight need not be miserable ;)
Well I managed to fit that in and go 12st 9 to 10st 3 last year with calorie control.

I just have as must as I need when it comes to breakfast cereals as it has a great calorie vs. ability to stop me feeling hungry balance and count the extra calories.
My 200 calorie giant bowl of porridge at about 9am keeps me going past 1pm:cool:
