has anyone ever tried out any of the fitness channels on the telly? Theres a step class on at half nine that i'm going to give a go, if i like it it's something i could do before work.
I like the sound of them but I don't have them!MarzipanFish wrote: »
Is it just me or has anyone else who's started weighing food out finding that 'a portion' of cereal is really teeny? I'd pour out 1.5-2 times as much if i was guessing what a portion looked like.
Same here!I just have as must as I need when it comes to breakfast cereals as it has a great calorie vs. ability to stop me feeling hungry balance and count the extra calories.
My 200 calorie giant bowl of porridge at about 9am keeps me going past 1pm:cool:
200 calories is a fairly modest breakfast, I wouldn't suggest eating fewer calories than that!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

re breakfast cereal: I've always thought it was a swizz for calories: I find commercial cereal actually seems to be enough to act as an appetiser without being very filling...so it actually makes me hungry when I wouldn't normally be even if I hadn't eaten anything! Porridge is a winner, or egg on toast or spinach: frankly I even find a banana better. Another winner for me is trying to get at least one of my five a day in at breakfast time. I love grapefruit& orange juice, but fr me its a bit like cereal, too many calories for the satisfaction. And I can find citrus fruit a bit...aggressive first thing in the morning BUT I have found that tinned mixed grapefruit and orange segments in juice (I think thats 65 cals per half can?) hits a spot for me. It is bulkier than cereal, its fresh, its quicker to prepare than raw fruit. Some fibre rish cereal can be added if required, and some how a desert spoon to make a sort of light breakfast crumble is more satisfying than 30g in a bowl with milk....0
