No ipod yet and my quidco didn't track so an enquiry with no response - does anyone have a copy of the T&C for this offer?
I have been a citibank customer for 10 years (wife was going for the nano) and recently the service has got much worse - it now seems to take nearly a week for them to respond to cs emails and then to cap it all despite lots of activity and a healthy balance on my current accoutn they still want to charge me 10 quid a month or downgrade and lose my savings account and eur and usd accounts :-(I think....0 -
Although they didn't want to give me an Ipod I managed to get one off them and got a 2gb one last week.
Not bad put just keep on at them and eventually they give in.0 -
Does downgrading affect our commitment from when we took up the Ipod offer?
Many thanks

I'm guessing that you won't be penalised for downgrading to the free account as the original offer of a free iPod made no mention that the account may charge £10 a month.
As the previous poster said, this is a material change in the terms of the original offer and I'm quite sure you'd have a good case if they tried to wriggle out of giving you the iPod.
Luckily my 6 months minimum term is up, so I've fired off a terse letter to citibank stating that I wish to close my account immediately.0 -
I set this up a few months ago, arranged my salary to go in and 2 direct debits/standing orders. One month my salary went slightly below the £1500 minimum (by about £30 due to no overtime) so I waited till the following months higher salary. I have just phoned them to ask about the ipod Nano. She said do I want it posted to me or do I want to collect it. I decided I will collect it from the Oxford Street branch on Saturday. Fingers crossed they have it in stock and give it to me!!!
Has anyone else collected it from Oxford Street? Has it been ok or have you had problems?0 -
I got to the Oxford Street branch at 4pm when it shuts at 5pm. (typical me.... 11th hour!) I asked for the ipod explaining that I spoke to the call centre on the phone and they said come in and they would phone me if out of stock.
She said they didn't have any in stock but I could try the Canary Wharf branch (but I would be pushing it time wise). I said but I was assured that they would have them or phone me if they didn't. So she phoned the office and they said that they did have them after all. So I was directed upstairs. After about a 10 minute wait they produced the ipod, got me to sign a form, but not check my account for the right criteria and gave me the ipod.
It is a black 1GB one, but hey, it is better than no ipod.
I also told them to downgrade my bank account for the free one.

Well, I think you're going to have to make the first move! Citibank are woefully bad at administrating this offer (and doing anything else actually). Ring up the 0800 005500 number and speak to someone. Also, don't forget to downgrade your account to the free one.
My account has now *finally* been closed after a letter and two phone calls. Hurrah.
So long Citibank!0 -
ooooh!!! About 2 weeks after collecting my 1GB Nano from the Oxford Street branch as above, I got a card from the post office saying I had a delivery to collect from the sorting office. When I collected it, it was a silver 2GB Nano from Citibank!!!
So I got 2 ipods from them!! I left it a few weeks to see if they would notice and they didn't, so I sold the 2gb on ebay and the 1gb to a friend of a friend!!
:-)
Also re the 6 months situation. Is it 6 months from opening the account, or 6 months from getting the ipod??? I want to close it and do the current £100 from First Direct but I don't want to be charged for 1 or even 2 ipods!!0 -

Six months from when you opened the account. So if that time has passed, you can safely close it.0
