    This sounds great!
I was about to buy a mp3 player. But do iPods play mp3s or come with software to convert mp3s into iTunes format?
Secondly it doesn't seem to define the £1500 very tightly. Can it be a transfer rather than directly from employer?? It says:
"Set up a regular deposit of your monthly salary of over £1,500 into your new Account"
I can do that via another account it would seem??
ie £1600 goes into Halfax accoutn from employer, I transfer immediately to this one...?

Yes, I believe they do play MP3 (but not WMA files). They also play the apply proprietary AAC format - and should come bundled with iTunes (which is free to download anyway).

Hi yes itunes can change your wma to aac or mp3 whatever you like. I have a nano 4gb the battery life is a rather poor 3 hours. Creative players are meant to be the best. The zen vision is excellent and can also play video files.

Well I've just applied. Somewhat painful application form...

Yea quite a painful form, but its looking promising so far - the form did state that any form of deposit would do, so you don't have to go to the hassle of contacting your employer to change your payment details.

aac is not proprietary aac spec It is the successor to mp3. AAC files wrapped with fairplay are proprietary (these are what you get from itunes)
