  • That's an old one. The new ones start at 2gb. Still a great freebie though :)
  • In response to me checking where my Ipod is, Citibank have informed me that this offer has never existed. Don't think that I'll settle for that

Got mine delivered to my house today. Neat little gadget. Hope you all get yours.
  • After my 4th phone call to Citibank, I finally managed to get someone from the marketing team to phone me back last week. After declining to make the 2 hour journey to my ‘local’ branch, the iPod was dispatched by special delivery and arrived over the weekend. Can confirm that it is the old 1gb black nano, but can’t complain given that the only cost was the time required to switch the account then keep phoning up to see where the iPod was…
  • Blimey I don't know what the fuss is about.

I messaged them using internet banking and got a reply within 24 hrs saying I was entitled, and someone would ring me within 7 working days.

Seeing as I'm at work during day and wife is often out, figured that my chances of receiving call were slim, so called the call centre (India?) and got a bloke who said the same as to other people - i.e. can you collect one from branch. Well considering there's a branch in Manchester, that was no biggie, so I called in today and picked it up no bother.

    Cool, there's a Xmas prezzy sorted out. :T :T

Also picked up a leaflet for free wine by recommending a frind whereby all they have to do is open an account, no salary or minimum sum or length of use, so hope to get several boxes of wine for free.

Received my Nano yesterday by Special Delivery - no chasing required (and incidentally, I didn't manage to get my bank details changed with my employer - instead transferred money in two months running, plus Standing Order out to two of our bank accounts and Nano arrived). Nano 1gb Black - very nifty in time for Christmas!

Just waiting for the £50 to arrive from Quidco now (currently showing as Validated).

Having APPLIED for my Citibank account on 30th Sept (as per the rules on their website) I received an email dated 30.09.06 confirming the application. Last week I queried my lack of iPod arrival, and received the following response:

    Thank you for your message.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in our response.

Please note that IPOD was offered for customers who opened their accounts between 6 July 06 to 30 September 06.

We see from our records that your account was opened on 20 October 06, hence we regret to inform you that we will not be in a position to offer an IPOD.

Considering your relationship with Citibank, we have arranged for £50 to be credited to your account in 2 business days.

In case of any further clarifications please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Yours sincerely,

I think I'll keep the cash because we've overspent this Christmas, but this does smack of inefficiency, does it not? Do I really want them looking after all my money when they can't organise this simple promotion?
