No but my £50 via Quidco has been validated today! Two days before my first salary payment goes through.

    regards

    Hi paddytt,

For the £50 from quidco, I don't think you had to have your salary paid in - just open a sterling current account & be accepted.

Still no iPod! I rang Shitibank today (already phoned once this week) and spoke to a barely helpful overseas call centre person.

She helpfully suggested that as my iPod hadn't been sent yet, would I like to go and collect it from my local branch? I enquired where this was and, yep, you guessed it. London. Yeah, that's really local. In fact, if I squint I can almost see Canary Wharf from Leicestershire!

Anyway, I declined and asked if they could send it out asap to my home address. This may happen in the next week, but to be honest I didn't fully understand the broken English so it may happen after a week. Apparently someone is going to ring me later and discuss it with me as well. Who knows.

I do know one thing though. After my six months compulsory period is over at Shitibank I'll be closing the account in a 'nano' second. :rotfl:
  • My feelings exactly!

After two emails (that they haven't responded to, despite their reply in 2 days policy) and two phone calls (both of which resulted in them saying a Marketing guy will call you to discuss) I still haven't got sight of an Ipod yet.

I feel a shouting down the phone day coming, but I feel sorry for the call operators as they seem to have contracted out their call centres and they don't have a clue.

Gonna give them another week and then I will not let them off the phone (its a freephone number) till I have confirmation my Ipod has been sent.
  • am still waiting for my ipod too....got an email last week (After about 4 emails from me!) asking if i could pick it up from my local branch (which i am happy to do) but the email said, don't pick it up until you have a confirmation from us! so since then ive sent another 3 emails just asking for this Damn confirmation so i can go and pick it up...but nothing doing....i hate calling these call centres, i end up being more confused at the end than i was at the start of the call!
  • Finally some progress!!

I got a call from some Citibank guy saying my Ipod will be in the post!. I was so excited, I excused his english and that it took him twice as long to say anything than normal.

Will let you know when I recieve it. I think perceverance and continued badgering!
  • result! i finally picked my ipod up today from a branch in london...its taken time but worth it in the end! its a lovely little contraption....let us kno how the rest of u get on....
  • congrats @debtnove! I still don't have mine yet. One question though - is it the old nano (shiny) or the new nano (metal)?
  • its got a black face and a metal back...so i assume its a newer version..looks even nicer then in pictures!
