  • Think im a naughty mommy ive put my bubs quilt on his cot as it gets so cold in the night (house gets very dry so we have to leave the window slighty open). He hates sleeping bags and just wont sleep in them at all probably because he is so big and he likes to be able to kick lots. I've still got him at the bottom of the cot though and the quilt gets folded under the mattress there is probably more of it under than there is over.

I havent got any fleecy sleep suits either i must invest in some. i really must go down grasshopper a factory not far from where i live you used to be able to get them there at a fraction of the cost and they even did adult sized ones(which of course i will have to get if they still have them hehe).

  • Ooh, when do you get your Stokke, SS?

  • Ohhh MFD, thats the one thing i am looking forward to when Chris passes his test !! He can drive and I can have a drink when we go out :D

LOL - I won't let Benjamin go in a taxi...even with a babyseat so one of us always drives. More often than not it is me!! But at the moment I am run ragged looking after everyone so if he thinks he can drive then he is welcome to do so!!

He just said 'when am I going to stop aching darling?' and I said 'when you stop trying to be a hero and rest up' *rolleyes*

SS - if it is Stokke related then I would deffo be answering the phone too ;)

My Stokke was delivered there because it was UK delivery only and she was trying to get the courier's details, otherwise I'd have let it ring and ring and ring :o

Benjamin seems to wake more when his room gets cold. Have you considered getting an oil filled radiator?

Yeah, I thought about that earlier on actually, just having a nosey on Argos website.

K wears same as J with a 2.5 tog sleeping bag and no blanket. Even with a blanket on he still wakes up if they room is cold as its the breathing the cold in thats wakes him IYKWIM??
I have the heating set to come on for 1 hr at 2.30am and that keeps the chill off the house til 7.30am when the heating comes on for an hr again, but i have a non-standard build house that retains the heat well.

I think I'll set the heating to come for an hour around 2am as he tends to wake up for the first time around 3am, it comes back on again at 5.30am for the guys to get up at 6.30am. Then if that doesn't work, I'll try a blanket and the heating and if that still doesn;t work go for the radiator!

Although OH is saying it will be warm soon :rotfl:

  • Ooh, has anyone given anything up for Lent? I've given up chocolate bars...I usually give up chocolate, full stop, but I can't bear to give up hot chocolate or mochas this year as they are my Mummy treat since I cannot currently booze! Bit half-hearted but will hopefully help my weightloss. I gave up chocolate last year for lent, then found out I was pregnant on the Thursday! Not easy, but I stuck with it.

Jack ends up at the top of his cot during the night so blankets not an option here unfortunately :(
