SS - I bought some kids suncream from Boots on Saturday, then got home and it said it shouldn't be used on children under 18 months old. I took it back today and swapped it for the baby one (I didn't realise they did the baby one, and hadn't seen it on the shelf on Saturday). It was Boots own brand - Soltan.

Weezl - well done to Fergie. [STRIKE]I agree with Tara about packing spare clothes in Fergie's bag. What about some snacks too?[/STRIKE] Ignore that, loads of other people have already replied :D. Well done for Kester for turning round too.

Tia - yay to getting lappy back.:j

That's roughly how I feel. I went in expecting a certain level of care which I just didn't get. If I'd known beforehand it would have been like that I could have been much better prepared. The quality of care that Weezl and Sami described as having in their homebirths is pretty much the standard I had expected.

Yes, I agree with you and that is why I'm leaning towards a HB if we do have another one. Do you think you'll go for a HB in future?
If you are doing the balloons yourself then just put some made up wallpaper paste into the balloon first, rub it around the inside of the balloon and then add helium simples..

Can I ask more questions? :D Do you literally just spoon the wallpaper pasted into the balloon? How much? Does it not weigh the balloons down? Can you see it inside the balloons? :o

BTW, how much RR is left?

i did a quote but has disapeared! think it was chopsticks, i did our own baloons for the kids christening, i used latex baloons. What i did was get one of those helium tanks from asda and went to the club in the morning and made them up before we went to church, they lasted all day, well until all the kids started playing football with em i got the baloons from tesco they were like pearly blue and pink, lovely!!

Yep, it was me. I don't know if we'll get chance to do them before the Church We need to be at Church for 10:15. How long did it take you to do them? I was thinking of doing three on each table and they'll probably be ten tables. Actually, I wonder if we could do them at home in the morning, and then put them on the tables when we get to the sports club afterwards. That might save some time...

Instead of going to town today, I went to the local shopping centre where they had a Clintons and a Birthdays. They've both closed down, so I didn't get any quotes for balloons anyway.

I'm going to buy more of their stuff, it's fabulous
    Thank you. I'll take a look :)
Feelie, anytime you're passing through Wolves give me a shout, I'm only a bus away from the station... It's the one we use to get to Liverpool / Coventry depending on which parents we're visiting...
I can get to Wolves in 1hr 45mins and it only costs £14.20.

Caz - happy birthday to Erin for tomorrow. I remember you posting your BS last year.

MFD and Jillie - we've been looking at houses this week too!

GISI - we had ours done by ChemDry who apparently charge £60 per room. We know someone who works for them though, so got lounge, dining room, stairs, landing and one bedroom done for £60.:money:

Glam - our heating is on 24/7 (not very MSE) and C's room thermometer says it's 18 degrees in there. I'm not sure how accurate it is though, as it said that even when I had her window open the other day. Anyway, she sleeps in a short-sleeved vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

OK, I've caught up but I promised hubby I'd be in bed by 10:15, so gotta dash.

    I haven't even told you about C's 8 month check...will be back tomorrow to tell you how I have a little-headed, but long-bodied baby who can't wave bye-bye :D

MFD - meant to say glad results were OK.

em - 9p an hour you say?! Just said that to OH so I will be purchasing one of those I think ;)

Despite saying I wouldn't do DF, I was concerned he'd only had 18ozs today so gave it a go and he took 6ozs without waking! He now has a single blanket tucked over him and found some scratch mitts (looked everywhere and I'd been sitting on them in his rocking chair :o). Heating set for 2am for an hour - so we'll see!

just sacked off swimming tomorrow - I really can't be arsed

I intend to make load of purees tomorrow - is there any reason why I can't buy frozen fruit such as pineapple & mango and defrost it when needed and puree?

Lolly - 6 bottles, 3 meals and a night feed
J has 4 bottles, 3 meals and the odd DF depending on how much milk he's had during the day.
What size meals do you give Joey? I tend to give around 4 ice cubes (or a full jar) but not sure if that's too little cos he wolfs it down!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Jillie, do you know anything about bolton? I heard bad things when pg with Chris but have heard good things since.

I know this was talked about earlier but I've only just got in :o This is where I will end up when Hope loses it's maternity unit. Hopefully I'll get to have
another LO at Hope as it's where me, hubby and practically the majority of mine and his family were born. One girl at my ante natal group moved to Hope from Bolton as apparently it was crap? So who knows??

I would like to say I was good tonight and didn't have chinese buffet instead I went for a lentil and green bean stew at a greek place that's opened up. Yummy!!
