very interesting reading all the same'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Wirral hospitals NHS Trust provide 3 meals a day for all patients.
The hospital Patients Information Booklet states that if any meals are missed, a snack box will be provided on request. The booklet also states that no one is allowed to bring in their own food and if anyone has special dietary requirements, they will be catered for.:beer:0 -
**It is recognised that rooming-in facilities may not be available within the neonatal unit. However, new mothers should at least be cared for in the same hospital as their baby. Where facilities are available, breastfeeding mothers should be encouraged to room-in with their baby in the neonatal unit
this is from 'the standards bit...
i would take the bit in bold to mean that DD should be getting meals...as that would be 'care''Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

she has dropped centiles - was between the 25th & 50th centiles for first 3-4 weeks, then dropped to between 9th and 25th last time at 5 weeks, and is now just on the 9th centile line. that's why she wants to weigh her again next fri, to make sure she hasn't dropped below that line as will then have crossed 2 centiles. but i've looked at what she would need to do to stay just on 9th centile and she'd still need to put about 11oz on by next fri! which seems unlikely to me seeing as she's only put on 18oz altogether in her 7 weeks so far
I've just looked at Chris's graph and he bounced up and down between 50th and 9th constantly, thats a big difference really but just because 'they' chose to draw lines on those points with only 1 in between he didn't cross 2 :cool:0 -
