    mine's done by HV

Thanks for the answers. HV asked to come and see me, and I wasn't sure if it was for that check, or because she wants to spy on me.

Are 9-12 month (or 8 month or whatever) checks done by a GP or HV?
Ours was HV. (But not "our" HV - just a random one.)

Tara - I just rang the Children's ward at Warrington to see if they had a written policy that I could get to forward to you. She said that they don't but it's just agreed that BF mums can have meals.
I mentioned your scenario and she did say that at WGH they don't supply meals to the Neonatal ward like they do on the children's ward so she said that mums might not get meals up there. The Childrens ward give meals out because they are getting them for the kids anyway IYSWIM.

Sorry that's probably not what you wanted to hear but I thought I'd let you know :)

Weezl - fab news! My fairies have had to go Standard Parcel so might be a few days. :)

Is it one that you can do for CDs too? Because they need more shelves for CDs so that could be why.

Yep that's why! Just need to find somewher to put the extra shelves now!

  • On the children's ward I used to work on we used to feed the breastfeeding mums 3 meals a day, and snacks in between of fruit/toast/yoghurt if required. It never used to be anything fantastic, just whatever was made for the children, but the mum's were always very grateful :D As with others it wasn't policy just common sense ;)

Interesting article. Apparently the green movement is "tying women to the home".

    Well done on the discharge!

DD has had a visit from the family support worker. She said that they had considered asking her and her partner to leave as they are having plumbing problems with the only shower available and that she had pulled some strings so that they could stay, now am I being defensive or does that sound like a threat?

Oh and she said that even GOSH don't provide food, well thanks to Jillie now I know she's lying.

Weezl, very, very, very glad to see you're ok! XXXXXXXXXXXX
Too many children, too little time!!!
