Mel, DS1 hates pizza, he's weird too
Jillie, this place is nowhere near as bad as others! I'm also lazy for not warming bottles to room temp, a chav for using purees, totally killing my children for weaning 'early'.... Here's good, we have a mixed range of parenting attitudes and usually manage to get by with simply saying agree to disagree and rarely resort to 'oh ma gawd, u is chav cos u is not doing wot ah doo!!'0 -

I have often wondered if my easy time with BF is down to my hubbys over-exhuberance with my nipples pre-Benjamin. Were they already tougher than most?
Would it be worth suggesting that pregnant women try an intensive course of nipple tweaking and pulling in preparation?
A-hemI love jam and cheese on a sandwich. A miners piece!
OH says I'm disgusting :-(
Hmmmm I agree with him:cool:
Interesting discussion on the feeding -I didnt b/f DD1 for a number of reasons - I still lived at home with my parents and would not have been able to feed in front of them, no-one I knew b/f, in the hospital they just gave her a bottle and the final one ( I dont know if it was down to my young age ) I just didnt want to. Fast forward 14 years and thought I would give it a go with DD2 and I fed her for 5 months with a formula bottle once or twice a day - I am attached and bonded equally with both girls and certainly dont feel guilty for doing what was best for me at the time.
Weezl I hope you can voice your opinions on feeding LO when he arrives - I can understand how hard it is when people want to feed them but be firm and say you are still learning how he likes to be fed so if they wouldnt mind you will feed him.
DD2 is staying at my parents for the first time on sat night:( we are at a wedding and will be home late. Im dreading it!19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -

Surely if you are breast feeding a baby in SCBU/NICU, and they are actually feeding, you should be allowed to follow the routine that is naturaly making itself known, rather than 3/4 hourly? So long as it is all marked down, what does it matter? Many full term, 'healthy' babies can't go any longer than 3 hours, so why force the little special ones to wait 4?
I cant imagine making a scbu baby wait 4 hours for a feed, its only in the last couple of weeks Isla occasionally goes 4 hours at night but in the day its more like 2 hours.jillie1974 wrote: »ooh menat to say the free nappy samples came today.

Ours came today too, might try Isla in one tonight.
SS - I'll keep an eye out for you.
I've just taken the new pram out, it's so much easier to push but still a mare to get up our doorsteps. I'll have to pretend its dead easy to OH though, and their were no instructions with it and although Ive got it up I haven't a clue how to collapse itI'd best do some googling as Im pressing buttons and nothings happening.
