Tara - if it was me I'd get all the parents who want a traditional Christening together and speak the Vicar en masse and point that bit of the bible out to him plus the website bit but also tell him that you will all take it further if he still refuses.
In my church you don't have to be confirmed to take Communion, children are welcome to join in Communion too - Katie loves it she knows exactly what to
do - children only get the bread/wafer.Proud to be dealing with my debts

i'd show him that as well Tara.
seeing as the Dean didnt have a problem, do you think he would do perform the services for you?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Ladies, you have been lovely. I have sent a polite email via that website to the Dean asking her to phone me but keep it confidential for now. Will come back later as I'm sure there will be more opinions and I would like everyone to be honest. Gotta get dinner, Bens got swimming. XXXXXXXXXXToo many children, too little time!!!0

Hope you get things sorted Tara, can't get over you being left in such a position, you would think that given recent drops in attendance to churches etc they would be happy at someone wanting to make such a bold statement. After all IMO it would shed a good light on the church making it appear more modern and up beat, which i think they dearly need at the moment.
Will no doubt be back on later, OH's friends are on their way to see Aiden, need to make myself presentable........... will settle for less scary though:rotfl:
Weezle will try to get that pic tomorrow, Thanks again.
Thanks for the welcome all[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Advice request. I'm confused by the issue of giving water to drink when weaning. Why? Is it actually necessary to aid digestion, is it merely a palate cleanser, do babies like it? (insert confused smilie here). Andrew hasn't decreased his milk intake, do I need to see if he'll take water after a puree feed?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Tigs I think it helps them not to get constipated cos the food is more solid it needs more hydrating to pass through the gut well.

also to get them used to having water with a meal as aposed to juice
to sort of rinse the teeth
and for dryer foods to stop them getting stuck in the throat (not chocking but you know like when you eat dry crakers and it feel like they stuck halfway down)
also to introduce a free flowing cup0 -
