  • Sorry smarno but you have to qualify by flying an average of 30 flights per year to join. I will nevertheless let you all have some interesting codes.

Anyone back from holiday and able to confirm their savings yet?
  • Thank you for that very helpful post.

What extra insurance cover would that be?

AN appear be more expensive and the insurance excess premiums are not included within the price.
  • Hi

I am going to crete for 2 weeks and would like to hire a car to get around. I am going to sound completley silly but i have not done this before and am not up on all the additional things i need to do with car hire so please bare with me.

Firstly i have saved 70.00 thanks to the code posted so 10 days car hire will only cost me 140.00. This seems to cover me with CDW, TP, VRF and local taxes with unlimited mileage.

It says i can purchase the additional cover locally when i arrive, Will i be charged a big amount for this? i am going for a class A car. Does this cover me for any accidental damage to the car (i know there will probably be an excess of about 100.00).

Is there anything else i should know as i have never hired a car before. Sorry to waffle on but when i take my driving licence do i just take the photo card or do i have to take the paper bit too?

Any advise would be much appreciated as i am going on the 23rd sep.

    Suzanna

The excess will be closer to £600. You will be offered an excess waiver when you get there. That could be an extra £13 per day for both damage and theft cover.
An alternative is to buy an annual excess cover policy; http://www.insurance4carhire.com for £49 plus 5% tax.
