If you want to book with your hotel doing in when your there couple of days before return would be fine, if you want to book through a car service then you can book in advance.

Can't remember how much toll is off the top of my head but its around $5 if i remember rightly?! Toll and tip included fare will be about $55-60 in a cab.

    Hi everyone

me and bf are going to be in New York over christmas we have booked to go to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Christmas Eve. Just wondering if anyone can recomened somewhere for Christmas Dinner? Dont mind if its a more expensive place or more budget friendly all suggestions welcome. I imagine though with it being Christmas Day it will be expensive, planning on booking it through open table

    thanks guys x

    Hi there
A cab sounds like your best option it will be $45 + toll and tip.
They will be outside the terminal so have no probs getting one or if you wanted you could prebook a car service?
On your return to JFK you could ask your hotel to prebook you a taxis/car if you wanted for piece of mind, they will do this for you, I stayed at the new yorker hotel on my last visit and enquired about cost and for private car prebooked it was $70.
I have found in my experience with the bigger/tourist hotels there are usually some waiting outside anyway or if they see you outside with case will pull over.

I have been looking at The New Yorker for our Honeymoon - can I ask what you thought of it?

Hello - I wonder if anyone on here can help me.

I am getting married in 5 weeks and we were leaving it till last minute to book our honeymoon.

My wife really wants to go to New York, and I am thinking about surprising her and booking a short (probably 4 - 5 day) trip to NY.

I searched on Expedia for flight and hotels for the week straight after the wedding (24th July - 1st August) and prices seem to be around £900 per person, out of curiosity I searched for holidays for next week (June 21st) or the week after (June 28th) and they were more like £500 - 600 per person which is much closer to our budget.

However - our wedding is the last day of term for schools. Are those price rasies because the summer holidays will have just started, or are they higher because they are a few weeks further ahead yet? (I guess what im asking is if I wait till the week before the wedding will they come down to the 500 - 600 price?)

    Thank you.

    Chris.

Thanks for all the advice on this, we've decided to go in October now to get more for our money and avoid the humid temperatures.

The cheapest flights i have found are £283, which is great, but its with Kuait Airways - is that bad? for £319 I can get flights with KLM which a friend of mine has said really looked after him last time he went with them.

Its for our honeymoon, so I don't want to cheap out, but it is 80 quid difference on booking 2 flights. Any suggestions?

I want to book it quick in case the prices change!

Thanks to everyone who gave me help, I have given you thanks :T

    C.

I haven't stopped in the Eastgate Tower, but I have stopped in the Affinia Dumont ( same group) and it was very lovely.

I would check tripadvisor for reviews so you know what it is like
