Didn't know about the tour but we went into the Ground Zero Museum Workshop for a look round (no charge here). Images and messages posted at the time on display etc. Screens up around the actual site, the monument is due to be finished Nov 2011.
when i went in june 07 it was still just a big hole in the ground so will be interesting to see it now.all the info i can find on museum workshop is a 2 hour tour for $25.
was the one you went to in the meat packing district?0 -

It really depends on what you intend to do whilst you are there. £1200 would cover the whole cost of my trip, and I don't skimp on anything, just shop around for good deals. What does the £1200 need to cover?Gone ... or have I?0 -

The one we visited is on Vessy Street opposite the church. Just looked it up on street view and it is where the Camera Trade Centre was.0 -

It was booked through holiday-rentals.co.uk, they offer a protection guarantee. It was my father who has booked, we have only paid a deposit so far, the rest is payable on arrival.
I honestly never knew that this was the case in NYC, as I said in TA, I cant see any official advise against it.
Hmm. I'm the same I had't heard of this either. I knwo of friends that have booked apartments before.
I have booked through www.homeaway.com - which i think is the same company - again offers a protection guarantee- it has had a superbowl advert and everything.. and I can nothing on google to suggest they are not legit. In fcat the opposite.
But now I'm getting a bit worried! Would you keep me in the loop Jamieson?0 -

If you are going in 4 weeks, buy your card now and just load it when you want. Dont leave it till the last minute.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
