Just a quick question about hotel conxions - how does the rebate work? Do you pay the full price and then get the rebate amount credited to your hotel bill, or do you just pay the reduced amount?
Thanks very much.0 -
Off to New York in July for 10 nights.
Staying in a rental apartment on Brooklyn.
I'm wondering how much spending money I should take. Would £1200 suffice?
What would be the best way to exchange this amount? Pre paid card, travelers cheqeues or a mixture of the two?
Thanks for the help.0 -
has anyone been to the ground zero museum workshop tour?
is it worth paying the $25 per person or would you just make your own way to ground zero for a look around, poss on the way to ferry for liberty??0 -

Rental apartment, are you sure its legal? I thought apartment rentals were illegal?
We are going in October and are taking a mix of cash/pre paid Caxton and credit card. Remember travellers cheques arent accepted everywhere.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

Can I make a suggestion? If you know where it is, post the question on TA. Its really bad, but even though its illegal, TA allows advertising on the site.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

Have you paid by credit card? If it turns out to be non existant can you claim against credit card company?

Hi,
It was booked through holiday-rentals.co.uk, they offer a protection guarantee. It was my father who has booked, we have only paid a deposit so far, the rest is payable on arrival.
I honestly never knew that this was the case in NYC, as I said in TA, I cant see any official advise against it.0 -

How many of you are going? We took that much for four of us staying 5 nights and didn't have much change left from that. Didn't spend big time just a few souveniers and a couple of clothes items.0 -

Didn't know about the tour but we went into the Ground Zero Museum Workshop for a look round (no charge here). Images and messages posted at the time on display etc. Screens up around the actual site, the monument is due to be finished Nov 2011.0
