    Hi all,

I heard that there are places where you can by cheaper tickets for the shows in NY (ie. Lion KIng, Mama Mia etc) if they are not sold out.

Is that true and can anyone let me know where?

    Cant wait to June 9th.

Places like TKTS ticket booth never have Lion King returns. That's the one show you have to pay full price for, but its so worth it.

Thanks Karie, that is good to know. Off to buy some coupons then :-)
Can you remember if they had an expiry date on them and if so how long away was the date from when you printed the coupon out?

How have you managed to purchase restaurant.com vouchers without a US billing address. I'm trying to buy some for Chicago but can't get past the zip code (which apparently must match your billing address)?

    Any help appreciated!

    hi ajdj,

When I bought my vouchers they were for some restaurants in Las Vegas and I just put in the Las Vegas zipcode. The transaction went through fine. Just put in the Chicago zipcode, or any other US zipcode I guess!

i'm off to ny this thursday and haven't set an itinary at all, i'm going to hope things will flow in a natural manner according to mood, weather and enthusiasm.:j

I'm flying out on thurs. I've got a bare minimum of an itinerary (MoMA on Friday evening then friend's stag do, wedding on Sunday, MET on Tuesday) just going to go with the flow.
It's meant to be 30c on Thursday!!

Re; the smell, I've noticed some street corners have more of a stale sweat smell than others especially in August :p

Well it's 05:45 here in humid NYC. Yesterday we had a quick mooch around macys then had a trip across on the staten island ferry to see the sun set behind sol then lunch and bed. Today's plan of attack is stage door deli for pancakes and bacon then shopping in century 21 a mooch around the village then the Yankees tonight. So if anyone sees a hot grumpy bear following 3 ladies, 2 young 1 slightly older, give me a wave!
