Well,i'm 55 years old,so if they need a photo/id.i'll take that as a compliment.:D0

Don't know about that, I've bought beers at my seat in Yankee Stadium several times without being carded. Not that there is any doubt I'm over 21, sadly...
It is, however, always a good idea to have photo ID with you, especially if you look under 30.
i think it depends on server
the 1st time i went to ny, and visited yankee stadium was for my ex's 40th and she went to buy a beer and got carded and they wouldnt serve her because she didnt have any i.d on her. The same evening i saw a guy sitting in front of us refused a beer by one of the roaming beer sellers as again he had no i.d and this fella was the spitting image of santa he couldnt have been a day under 60.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

That's just taking the p**s,or drinking it.0 -
I've also witnessed people clearly over 50 being carded at vendors for a beer before, at that time it was explained that it was stadium policy to ID everyone. (The guy looked like Santa Clause - honestly!) I thought nothing of it as I worked in regulated sales at that point in time, it is overkill but if that's the way they want to play it then that's what it is.
Funnier part was last summer I ordered a water & the woman ID'd me, much bemused I grabbed my ID before realising she'd misheard me and thought I'd ordered a beer. I put that one down to my west of Scotland accent & laughed it off as she said "I thought you looked a bit confused!".
I'm reliably informed though that they've added even more variety in concessions at the Stadium, tell you, if only my football team had the options they have at Yankee Stadium I'd attend more games!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

maybe so but im cool with zero tolerance that way no one gets offended, or in this case no one gets served.
fast forward a couple of years and i got carded at fat tuesdays in vegas and my ex did'nt suffice to say she was not amused.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
Got back on Sat morning, awesome trip. Hectic place, but would go again tomorrow. Did the usual things,TOTR,blah blah blah. One thing i would mention,is the ATMS. We did try a few,TD,Bank of America, all were charging $3. We then tried Santander, didn't get charged. As they say'Not much, but better in my pocket'
Also, thank god for the Subway,we did hammer it,but at £22 for the week each, felt it was really good value. And we still chalked up well over 40 miles walking.
Rob.

Hi I am due to travel to new york on monday and have been looking at things i would like to do and would appreciate any advice. I am looking at going to a Yankees came and was wondering if any can suggest reasonable seats? I don't mind paying a little extra (i noted about 201 and 239) Also in terms of getting passes can anyone suggest a good pass to get? We are there for 7 days so have a bit of time. Also has anyone got at taxi to woodbury outlet place and if so how much did it cost? I noted that they do a visit there but it costs 55 dollars so just wanted to compare. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated :-) Thanks0

Yankee Stadium has plenty of good seats, it all depends on how much you're willing to pay for them, cos anything in the lower part of the stadium will be pretty pricey! The bleachers are cheap as chips but you're a long way from the guts of the action & maybe not so great if you have back issues for example. Personally I prefer being out in the bleachers but that's because the guys who sit out there are pretty much my kinda people - that's not everyone's cup of tea!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

Which pass to get, depends on wwhich attractions you want to visit. Ive never found the passes worth the money, as there are usually only a few attractions on each that you really want to visit, then you visit the others, just to fill time and get yr moneys worth. Just price up individually where you want to go, then see if any of the passes offer better value. Even the fast passes arent necessary, if you plan your times right. Ie go up empire state or rockafella, before 11am or after 9pm (depends on time of sunset) and the wait can be well under 30mins
You wont get a NYcab to woodbury common, they dont go that far out the city. Maybe uber, but even then it would be pretty pricey due to distance. Woodbury common isnt somewhere i would visit, unless i had lots of free time. If this is yr first visit to NY, then youll easily spend 7days just pottering around manhattan, so i wouldnt waste a day (it is a whole day trip) just to go to a shopping centre selling last season/seconds. Macys/bloomingdales give visitors 10% discount, so if yr after bags/clothing, this is worth getting (just go customer services & show yr passport to get the discount card). Or go century21 they sell alot of the brands that are at woodbury common
I know nothing about sports, so cant help on that front
I got back yesterday after 6 days in the city. We just about found time to visit all our must sees, and that was with DD being on a route march, so no pottering time for us lol. Im shattered, wish i had worn a pedomter so i could see how far we actually walked. It must have been over 10miles a day, as our hotel was downtown, so we walked uptown most days as due to time difference we were up early, so needed to kill time till places opened
My highlights were visiting grand central station (im not into architecture, but this place is so beautiful to look at). Roosevelt island tramway (nice views and a pleasant way to kill a half hr. Longer if you spend time on island). Battery park (great for people watching, views of SoL and for a bit of fun, ride the carousel)0 -
Don't forget the Mets, they play in Queens at Citifield, which is only 6 or 7 years old. Try the usual Stubhub Ticketmaster sites, and include resales, through the sites they're guaranteed, and given the Yankees are at this point having a losing season you may get a decent deal from a season ticket holder not wanting to go.0
