I just posted a thread about planning a trip to NYC and I've been pointed in the direction of this thread. Wow! So much info here!

I'm looking to go in Sep/Oct next year and was looking for some tips so I think I've got a lot of reading to do. :)

Hi guys need help. We are travelling to New York in October (family of 5) the apartment I had cancelled on me. We are looking to stay in East/West Village/Union Square etc. I have been on Tripadvisor AIRBNB etc. are there any other websites that anybody could recommend?

You could try a search for hotels in Google Maps after zooming in to the relevant area.

Apartment rentals are illegal in New York. Have you tried looking at apartment hotels like marmara Manhattan or the Affinia Chain?

Has anyone used a NY Pass recently?

I'd read online that you could use the pass for the same attraction so long as the visits were on separate days, but now I've spotted on the FAQs of the NY Pass website that it can only be used once per attraction.

Kind of scuppers the plans to go to both towers at day and night.

I've e-mailed NY Pass just to clarify, but wondered if anyone had recent experience of this?

Will be interested to hear your opinion of NJ Murphy :D
I'm currently sat in my suite, in NJ, looking at the Manhattan Skyline, thinking of you.

So far, NJ has been much, much nicer than NY !!!!!!

    Hi, Murphy! :hello:
I've been wondering if your trip had arrived, am happy to hear you're having a good time :T

I look forward to hearing much more about your adventures on your return.
We only had a brief sojourn in NJ, but you've obviously found a nicer part than we did as, with one exception (Princeton), most of what saw appeared to be a series of industrial estates, interspersed with strip malls. :(

Hope Mrs_The_Cat and the kittens are having a good time too :)
