Can second discount from BroadwayBox. I just booked Pippin for August at $68 per seat, with all costs £187 for 4 tickets and we're in Row F Orchestra seats. These are right at the side so there may be some view restriction but I'm very happy with the price against $147.50 for the best seats.

Does anyone know when the the schedules for November (Thanksgiving) are released for each show? Particularly interested in Bullets over Broadway and Hedwig and the half inch.

Most schedules will stay the same but some will offer extra matinee performances. Keep an eye on the Playbill websites as most shows tend to submit a press release announcing their plans.

Hi everyone :) We are headed for our first trip to NYC in October and can't wait. I've been reading this thread for a while, but now that it's official, I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me!

I really want to do the Top of the Rock at sunset, as I love my photography but I'm wondering when to book the tickets for. Could anyone tell me how long it takes from your "entry" time, to actually get up to the observation deck?

    Thanks!

Once you're in the lift it's less than a minute.

I seem to recall around 45 minutes of initial lift and airline style security though.

I don't remember anybody hurrying us out. IIRC you could choose to stay up there until you got bored.

    Might be worth checking though!

Yup - it can take a while to get up there and depending on time of day, there can be a fair queue even to check-in.

I think I remember a fast-track/queue bypass option there as well, although it probably requires you book in advance or buy one of those attraction passes but that won't be cost effective if you don't have you itinerary planned pretty well.

personally i wouldn't book the tickets at all, whats the point in going up for a sunset if its cloudy?

play it by ear when you are there. check the sunset times for the new york area for the time you are there and then arrive an hour or so before sun down and buy your ticket then.

however be aware that sun down is the busiest time of day to be at the top of the rock and you may struggle to get some clear space to take some shots as everyone else will be up there doing the same thing.

that being said i never get sick of seeing the sunset over mahattan and then, for me, the even more impressive sight of the island lighting up
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

    Hi,
In march we did the day and night time TOTR entry ticket. So we went first thing on a sunday morning - no massive queue and then at sunset into night time.
Neither visit had horrendous queues - probably up to the top in under 30mins. They take your photo going up to entertain you a bit which you can buy afterwards if you wish.
    Fantastic views. Enjoy.
