Just booked hotel to go back to New York over Christmas!!

We (my husband and I) have booked a 1 bed suite at the Marmara Manhattan for 5 nights, for only £114 a night!

We have yet to book flights, but think we are going to stop over in Iceland first, flight costs depending.

Soo excited and looking forward to a New York Christmas!!!

Hi guys, we've booked our very first NYC trip for August and would really love to go and see Wicked at the Gerschwin theatre. We were planning to book tickets on Ticketmaster but we are getting conflicted info from those who have already been. Some say that you can get these discounted at TKTS and some said the tickets are much cheaper when in NYC so we should wait until we get there?? Does anyone have first hand experience and advise? The prices seem very high on Ticketmaster so if anyone has any suggestions that would be most helpful. Thank you!

I dont know the demand for wicked and if you leave it until the last to get them , if you have a set date and have to watch it i would say book it . Not normally that cheaper from the box office , TKTS are first come first served at discounted prices if they have any to start .If your not luck at TKTS then go and see what other shows are available .. Enjoy NYC

Wicked has been sold out every week for it's entire run. Dynamic pricing in New York works so well that the top selling shows know exactly what people will pay and when.

Wicked is one of the few shows that I know I have to book in advance for and pay full price for. It is never in the TKTS booth.

Your best bet if you don't wish to pay the high prices is to enter the daily lottery for front row seats. A lot of people enter so there's no guarantee of winning. You can find out more about the lottery here along with listings for all other Broadway shows at the Playbill website (scroll down on the right hand side) - as a new user I can't post links.

Finally I fully recommend the website Broadwaybox - you get discount codes in advance and it saves queuing at TKTS, which I've never done and never needed to. I get my bargains before I go.
