Century 21 isn't much cheaper for cosmetics/perfume - they don't discount but there is a good range of products there and worth a look if you're after something specific. I think it was the same price as the department stores though. Macy's/Bloomingdales sales assistants hassle you a lot more than in Century 21.

They're all a little hit and miss, but definitely worth a look in any/all that you have time to go in (Century 21/Loehmanns/Daffys/Filenes Basement).

As thatsfabulous already said, there are Sephora's everywhere - some bigger stores than others, I didn't go in one that was 'better' than any other though.

(and yes, I know it was a typo for strike, but it still made me laugh)

Brought a smile to my face too:rotfl:

Will probably have to wait till nearer the time, trouble is we're on the standby list which doesn't help:(

Has anyone been with Delta from Manchester?

Just wondered what the food/drinks & inflight entertainment were like?
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

personally I always take a couple of pair of shoes, simply because you are on your feet all day and even the comfiest shoes will make your feet tender, and swapping them is as good as having a rest, but that is my personal opinion.

I have never taken a first aid kit.

Most hotels supply all toiletries and if they don't, you can request them at the desk. Unless you only use your own particular brand.

I agree about the shoes - 2 pairs would be useful, both comfortable!

How long are you going for?! If you're planning on shopping, then I wouldn't take anything extra.

Its a 757 a/c you will be on.
The inflight entertainment is excellent loads of movies and albums to listen to you wont be bored thats for sure.
    Outbound-
We had pasta or chicken for main meal- if i remember rightly because I swapped with my mums chicken meal Lol the pasta was very plain not with sauce like most inflight meals you get with uk airlines.
An hour or so before landing we had a slice of pizza- no choice just cheese & tomato.

On return nightflight cant remember meal sorry but before landing had a blueberry muffin and banana for breakfast.

I remember meals coming with crackers and cheese and pack of biscuits on o/b flight.
