As games regularly sell out, buying in advance is always recommended. Ticketmaster, StubHub or Yankees Ticket Exchange are the three options I would consider. With StubHub look for tickets that are delivered via e-mail.

Tickets rarely sell out and this is a sure fire way to pay over the odds. If you have a Mastercard, most games have $5 seats which come in at about $9 with taxes and fees.0 -
Thank you M.

Are you going to be drawing out cash from your credit card cargo? Watch out for the fees, plus interest accumulates from the day you withdraw it.
Ok, ignore the fee thing as clarity doesn't charge a fee, watch out for the 12.9apr though.0 -

Actually, the Clarity Card is free of fees, but that doesn't avoid ATM fees, most charge between $1 - $3.
Minefield right?

We have just booked, going 24th-28th November direct from manchester to newark with United. Staying at the Gansevoort Park Avenue, £814 each. Cant wait! Am going with my sister and we are already making lists of where we want to go and what we want to buy!
Last time I flew into Newark im not sure there was any such thing as the Airtrain, and we got a shuttle bus which was absolutely fine. This time I think we will get the train (am assuming this is as easy as the JFK to Penn route) then walk to hotel from Penn station, found this easy enough last time.
My friend who lives in nyc is going to try and get us tickets in the grandstands for the macys parade, which will be good if she can. We are flying home at 7pm that night, will subway, taxi etc be running as normal on Thanksgiving? If public transport is going to be a bit quieter then we would probs get train to airport, otherwise will probs spring for a taxi/car service as I hate messing about with the luggage when its time to go home!
Any other fun stuff we could do in the run up to thanksgiving? We have both been to nyc quite a few times, although never at that time of year so unsure if theres anything different going on0 -
