I have read about this transfer:
http://www.viator.com/tours/New-York-City/New-York-Arrival-Shuttle-Transfer-Airport-to-Hotel/d687-2928NYCAPTHTL
Price worked out at £25.00 pp Return.
DO NOT USE SUPERSHUTTLE. You're in a shared shuttle, that might sit at the airport for 2 hours until it's full, and then spend 3 hours going around Manhattan before finally dropping you off.
The easiest ways to get into Manhattan from the airport is either to get public transport, a prebooked car service like Carmel or Dial 7, or finally just a normal taxi. The last is the most expensive.
A private transfer with carmel is $39 with their $4 off coupon on their website. If you're really on a tight budget, go with public transport.

Flying into Newark Saturday (Afternoon) March 26th.
Flights with BA from Manchester - Heathrow - Newark x 2
Plus Wellington Hotel for 3 nights (double Room)
Plus Travel Insurance
Price £1200
Flights are £340 each.
Hotel is £472 prepaid
Total - £1152
Travel Insurance for a single trip won't be £48, and I've not even looked around for cheaper hotel deals, that's just direct of the hotels website.

OK, another post on the "is this a good deal"
Firstly, you must have thought it was a good deal, because you booked it. Secondly, me harping on how it wasn't a good deal and you can get better deals ain't going to help you, but will prove that if you shop around, you can save money.
Sticking with the flights at £340 each, you can bag yourself a bargain hotel deal thanks to travelzoo. The Empire Hotel (refurbished in 2008) has rates available for $139 a night or a deluxe room for $169 a night. Going with the cheaper room, and with taxes that's $489, and in british money that is £315.
Now, you've got 3 nights in NYC, for £995. Is your original one a good deal? Cost and worth is what it comes down to, you were a lot more comfortable in a travel agents so the extra few quid makes it easier for you, whereas I'm more comfortable building my own deal up, and having more money to spend, or an extra night in NYC.

Hi
Just tried your link and no joy, it say "conection has timed out" i says it may be a fire wall stopping it!
Again thanks for the help via PM's0 -
if it is a connection timing out, it could be a DNS issue with your internet provider.

Both Carmel and Dial7 are quoting me $60 for the 4 of us, Newark to Grand Central, with 4 luggage. Does that sound alright? I noticed Mark's guide said $55 in a taxi before tolls and tips, do the car services include tolls (obviously not tips) or will these be added on top?
Was originally planning just to get a taxi (we did this last time) but I'm considering booking a car service. As there's 4 of us the price will be split 4 ways so am I just as well in a taxi or would I be better booking a car service?
I did a connection last year in Newark and was though immigration and collecting bags to transfer within about 45 minutes. If my flight arrives at 11.45am, would I be best booking car service for 12.30pm at the earliest?0 -
