    Hi,

I've been to NYC before with my ex and fell in love with the City, I want to go back and will probably be by myself, does anyone know of a cheap site that caters for this?

The single supplements are killing me at the moment.

    Thanks in advance guys.

I've booked plenty of trips to NYC, and never seen anything like a single person supplement.

You book 1 flight, and 1 room, simple as that.

Yup.. not bad at all thanks for asking!
  • Well when i went with my partner it cost £1k for the two of us for a week, when I've looked to go by myself it's around £850 for me just for five days.

Is this about rite price wise?

If not, please let me know where you have booked and which site?

    Many thanks

Pink, when are you going? I don't mind looking for you,but will need approx dates etc.

Are you looking to book a package, or just the flight and hotel separate?
  • I'd be going middle of May - for five days and flexible with the dates.

    Thank you very much
  • I'm looking at booking a hotel in New York for 2 adults and 1 child (age 6) and a lot of them state:-

"Free! Up to two children under 17 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding."

Does this mean I can book a double room for the 3 of us and just pay the double room rate?? When I've gone in to book it only tends to want the details for 2 people...

    Thanks.

basically what that means is you get a double room as no cost for child but they are expected to share the double bed aswell,i had similar happen when i went in oct luckily the hotel/travel agent were very good and got us in a room with 2 beds.

when booking you need to book for 3 people they will either put a roll out in or give room with 2 beds.
  • Hi can anyone tell me if you have to go through a scanner at Heathrow? I know at JFK you have the option of a pat down, is it the same here? Thanks a lot.
  • We fly out to NYC on Wednesday staying for 4 nights. Thinking of booking a helicopter flight - anyone recommend best company to use - there are so many! Been to NYC several times before but its my hubbys first time so planning lots of sightseeing so thinking of getting a NYC pass.
There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age

When we were there last month, when you go to the Staten Ferry terminal there are helicopter touts outside and will do a deal if you fly immediately. We didnt do it but DH reckons you could probably get a bargain that way.
