For anyone looking for a hotel in the near future, I have just got a Priceline win for the Four Points by Sheraton Midtown Times Square for less than £70 per night including taxes! More details on the Report Priceline Wins thread.
    Gone ... or have I?

Have you done daytime flights NYC-Lon? Are the affects of jet lag less?

i have done daytime flights back from NYC and also night time flights from other american cities either way i never really suffer jetlag a bit tired on return but right as rain after going bed at normal time.i think everyone reacts different to body clock changes,my missus suffers for days afterwards.maybe the fact i work all manner of shifts and constantly altering body clock helps??

I have done a nighttime flight and I didn't think the jet lag was half as bad. I really didn't get on well with the night flight back.

Hi, Im travelling to new york in november and am in the process of booking the Airlink shuttle to get to and from the airport (newark) to the hotel and they ask for a mobile number. How would my mobile number change when in new york? Because the number they ask for starts with a +1 and is seperated into 3 blocks?

    Hi

I've never gone to NYC in Nov but June, July and Oct. I have always flown direct (from Edinnurgh). I can't recall my October flight prices but my summer ones have been around 360 but the flight prices seems to have gone up this year. I use the website 'kayak' to compare prices as they can vary hugely as i'm sure you'll have noticed.

    Hope this helps.

HI everyone, im looking for a bit of advice

Me, other half and our 2 kids (6 and 4) are flying out to new york on Nov 30th for 5 nights, were gonna get married on the 2nd or 3rd at the marraig bureau. Theres 6 adults coming over at the same time. Me and husband to be have been twice before at the same time of year in 2007/8. Im really stuck for a hotel, keep looking on trip advisor but i think my heads about to explode.

First time we stayed we stayed at wingate inn by wydnham (which i liked but oh not as keen) then at Holiday inn 57th street, which was fine but we felt like it was a bit out the way and this time having kids wed like to stay a bit more central. Possible shortlist is Any affinia, Eastgate tower (cheap) or hilton garden times square, though not sure if this right in times square or just near as dont want to be right in the centre. Was hoping for midtown or maybe near grand central station as most of our things to do will be toys r us, fao scwhartz, horse carraige central park, radio city christmas spectacular etc, all stuff the kids will enjoy (and maybe a bit of shopping at macys and Sephora).

Has anybody got any ideas of any other hotels or has anybody stayed at any of these? x

What price are you looking for? Do you want a suite, or two double beds?

I have had a look at the Intercontinental Times Square and that is coming out as £1400 for the 4 of you in a double double corner sky view room using the friends and family scheme ( message me if you want details)
