I have few relevant qualifications in IT.

I do however have over 25 years experience including programming, networking, coding, database creation and system build and repairs.

Why is it you think that choosing one person over another because of the letters after their name guarantees the correct answer?

If I feel I have a constructive solution to a problem I will post. If not, then I don't as I'm well aware that an incorrect answer is worse than none.

You will find any number of self congratulating forums on the net. Should you want someone to recognise your fantastic academic achievement, then I suggest you use experts-exchange or similar.

The purpose of this forum is to ensure that a consensus is formed (as far as possible) with regards solutions. To do so needs a number of people providing input. Your idea of choosing one individual does exactly the opposite, and narrows the field of experience / knowledge to the point where it is a waste of time. If you read the average request for help on here, you'll see that the posters are generally users with a very low knowledge of the workings of a PC.

How exactly would they know which set of letters after a name to choose? Much better to fire it at everyone and see what happens.

The techie forum here at MSE is not exactly the top priority is it? I don't think MSE would use human resources to verify I.T qualifications. Even if they did, how many people do you think would submit their qualifications to MSE?

So thats one and yes the techie forum is not the most significant here on MSE but it still provides suggestions to those that need help and for those it is very significant.

Re varification you need to read back a little, this one has been answered.

This site is designed to be free thats why I joined and thats why I have tried to help people. Nothing changes. I would certainly provide my quals howver useless they may or may not be.

Free is free and when I can I would be very honoured to help out

I know that the advise from both qualified and unqualified given on this site is totally free and your offer of your own personal advise is very welcome but I am still slightly concerned because of the name of your ID which relates to your business and also the weblink to your business that all this is a spot of self promotion.
This is just my opinion and I may well be wrong so aplogise if that is the case.

Well the forum does seem to have got personal. Vision is blinded by the the "Bahhs" from the meadow.

If you are going to say something al least make it constructive. Dont you see that its comments such as these that is half of my point. They offer no help, no feedback just an opinion that doesn't really matter anyway
