    Evening all

Good news I lost 2lb this week - yehhhhhhh :j I think my new plan of just planning one day ahead is working so I shall see how I get on next week.

Jenpoptab - Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow. Swim wear for £1 a piece now that is a bargin!

lisele - welcome - congrats on your forthcoming wedding. I am sure you will find us a happy and helpful bunch

Charlie - welcome too. I agree the tips and motivation are a big part of losing weight and you will gets lots of those here - and a kick up the a**e as and when you ask for it :rotfl:

Ros - welcome back. Congratulations on getting to your WW target and you did so well only gaining 2.5lb when on holiday in the states.

Lois - Thanks re the tip for the Dolmio Sauce. I find these really handy for work and if they are 2 for £2 in Sainsburys as Honey suspects I may stock up for when I get back. Also as an aside for next weeks chart could you amend me to -2lb with a total loss of 20.5lb - I didnt realise the loses were from when you started to loose weight - dont amend this weeks as its fine as it is but I may not be going to my club again so to have it properly recorded would be terrific.

Loopy - Good luck with your rejoining WW tonight.

honey - All that exercise - phew makes me tired thinking about it lol. Good luck with selling the house again - I take it you have decided to move and not stay put. Have tried the Quorn Thai fillets and they are tasty and the bonus is they can be microwaved from frozen as a quick low syn/or syn free (in the case of the Tikka ones) snack - yummy.

    Katie congratulations on losing 1.6kg

Gilly - well done too on your 2lb loss.

Hope I havent missed anyone but if I have sorry, not intentional, there are rather a lot of posts this evening :T

Welcome back everyone who's been away and congratulations losers!:j You should all be so proud of yourselves. Sorry if it sounds abrupt but I'm tired and can't remember names at the minute

I just wanted to let you know how I got on this week (2nd week at SW). ... I maintained:rolleyes: I'm actually happy enough with that result since I had a load of junk food on Saturday night at a friends house and didn't realise that marshmallows were 1 syn each:eek: I couldn't tell you how many of them I ate... handfuls is all I can remember. .. that plus crisps and dips, it's a miracle I didn't put on half a stone:rotfl:

I feel like such a hypocrite now:o , giving all that advice to Moira about planning when I didn't plan for 90 million syns in marshmallows! I have to say that it's made me more determined to stick to it 100% this week. I've already planned menus for the next few days - in fact, I'm so good I have a bowl of salad and tomorrow night's quorn chilli pasta bake in the fridge. :A

I have yoga tomorrow night so I probably won't be checking in with you guys. Have a great week !

Hi Jen - I hope you enjoyed your swim. Your post reminded me that I went away for a weekend in a hotel that had a pool, and took a cossie that I hadn't worn for a while. When I put it on, it was much too big, and it got worse when I got wet, making it impossible to swim without exposing myself! I'd overlooked the fact that I was two sizes bigger when I wore it last!

Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow.

Oh but I bet you felt great seeing the results of your successful dieting!

By the way, if you're planning to freeze dairy milk caramel to stop yourself from eating it, don't bother. I froze one that I'd bought last week and ate it last night whilst I was doing the ironing :o - it just lasted a wee bit longer

Other than that, I did have a fairly good week but I won't be surprised if I've maintained. I'll just have to make sure I do better in the week ahead:rotfl: I've just remembered I'm going out for a meal with my friends on Friday night. I've phoned ahead and got a menu faxed to me and I've decided on a red day. ... Consultant31 maybe you could help me syn etc this meal....

starters - crab and salmon salad (not sure what the dressing will be)
Main - 8oz sirloin steak with pepper sauce - don't panic:eek: I'm going to ask for the sauce on the side. served with seasonal veg and baby boiled potatoes
dessert - fresh fruit salad with vanilla cream (whatever that is!)

It seemed like good choices to me, but what do you guys think!

:rotfl: Frozen Cadbury's Caramel - tut, tut!!

Maybe you could ask for the crab & salmon salad without dressing (or with dressing on the side so you can decide whether to eat it or not). This would then be syn free.
Main course would be free with a HEB of potatoes.
The dessert would be free if you had the fruit salad without the vanilla cream, which I would imagine would be a bunch of syns. However, if you've been syn free all day, you'd have 15 to play with so you could have it and enjoy it! :T
Enjoy your meal, it sounds as though you've made great motivational strides by phoning ahead for the menu - inspired thinking :T :T

Welcome to all the new members of the forum this week and congrats to those who've had successful weight losses.

Katiepoppycat Yes, your wine syn values will be the same whether you drink it or cook with it.

Sorry I've not been around much, managed to get myself a summer cold from somewhere and I feel rotten. Coughing the night away is not doing me much good, I'm like a zombie during the day, even too tired to come on here

Oh and, remember I told you about losing 2½ lbs on my hols  well, twas my weigh-in last night and I've lost another 2½ (making 5lbs in a fortnight) I'm well chuffed :j
I'm trying hard not to boast, honestly! :rotfl:

Hi Gilly - well done for resisting the call of the chocolate bar!

Some people - my slimming buddy included - can eat a small amount of chocolate every day as a treat and find that it satisfies them, but I find that a small amount only makes me want more, and all I think about is chocolate.

I consider myself to have an addiction to chocolate just like alcoholism, which means a moderate amount isn't enough - so I don't have any. People look at me in amazement when I tell them I haven't eaten chocolate for 3 months, but what most people don't realise is that the cravings disappear after a couple of weeks, so once you get through that, it's easy!

We all need to have some treats to look forward to, so it's a good idea to factor something naughty but nice into your week.

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for the lovely messages of encouragement. I've decided to start my day by reading through this thread. It's so encouraging to read about all the weight everyone is losing.

Lois Lane-Thank you for the 2lb weight loss club totals. It's very motivating reading about the masses of weight lost.

Dellybelly Could you pass on the recipe for the Quorn chilli pasta bake? It sounds delicious.

I stuck to my food plan yesterday and walked my 12,000 steps. So I'm rather pleased with myself. Today's a running day which means for this week that I will be running for 4 mins followed by 1 min of walking, and doing that 7 times. I run so slowly that I look like I'm standing still :rotfl: but I figure it's doing it that matters and not how fast I am.

    Have a good day!

    Hiya all
Lovely to read all your stories and well done to everyone it is really nice to read how you are all doing. It was really nice to see my name of Lois chart can't wait to be on it.

It is still early days for me and unfortunately I have managed to make two lunch appointments with my job (taking clients out) so will have to be carefull what I have. I get to choose the place and they have a lovely salad section so I will go for that. Going to Pilates tonight but hope to workout for 1 hour beforehand in the gym. Then I have a personal assessment on Thursday morning so that is 3 times this week making up for not being able to go more than once next week.

Does any of you know what is the best form of excersise for loosing weight. I like the crosstrainer and the bike but also play golf which gives you 4 hours worth of walking.

Anyway must dash need to make an appointment today with a client and I have promised to bring the doughnuts but as I don't like the jam ones I should be able to resist.

    Have a good day all.

Delly - I was going to ask you for the recipe too -sounds lovely.
Had the quorn tikka fillet last night with SW chips, was lovely. Good value too as BOGOF in Sainsbury's and 2 in a pack.
I didnt go to SW this week as I had stuff to do in house - weighed myself earlier and I am down 2lb! I wont record this Lois as this is just a temporary weigh in until next week. I'm at a bday party at the weekend and will be having a drink - so going to be v good up til then.

Tallgirl - I'm going to start going to pilates - do you enjoy it? Am I right in saying its a cross between aerobics and yoga?

Honey Pilates is a bit like Yoga and you focus a lot on your breathing. There is no fast movements so it does not get your pulse up but I have been doing it for 3 years now nearly twice a week and it does tone you up nicely and great for getting you more energy. I stopped doing it for 7 months as I was doing Body Balance instead (YOga, Pilates and ChaCHi) and now that I am back I can feel how unfit I am. I can't do as much as I used to so it must do something to your fitnes without being totally exhausting. I love it so hope you will too. Are you doing a beginner course first. That is best to get the hand of it. Let me know how you get on
