    Good morning Tall Girl
I could get use to your life of going away....I am a stay at home person (childminder) going traveling sounds a luxary! I have just been saying I will walk all the children to the park this morning(exercise). If I was you I would be making full use of the swimmimg pools and some hotels have free gyms for guests! As for food... The poached egg sounds fine to me but the fruit and yoghurt is another meal.... Can you not put this in your bag for lunch?
I can hear slimmers shouting fruit is free food-and rightly so...
Dinners- well my advice is just to try your best....
    Have a great day.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

Thanks Julie that is very kind of you. Unfortunately the kind of hotels I get to stay in do not have pools but perhaps I will try to go for a walk in the evening. I do eat a lot for breakfast, I have low blood sugar and if it dros I feel quite ill so it is easier to eat a lot for breakfast in case I don't know when I have time to eat lunch. A day in the park sounds lovely wish it was me, I am just going to be on the phone all day making appointments. Take care

    Hi,

I'm posting to join this thread. I have quite a lot of weight to lose: 6 stone. It's more important to me than ever to lose weight--not just for my health but because I'm getting married in January. I'm not expecting to lose 6 stone in time for our wedding but I don't want my choice of dress to be limited to what fits and not what I think looks nice. I currently buy clothes (only when I have to because I find it traumatising) based on things actually fitting and not whether or not they look nice. I don't want to live like that anymore.

Also, saw some pictures of myself from last Christmas, and I just looked like a mountain of flesh. I don't want to look like that in our wedding pictures.

On the positive side, since living with my partner (who encourages my living a healthy lifestyle by his own example) for the past year, I have lost weight although not sure exactly what weight I started at, have become more active, and no longer suffer from lower back pain.

So my plan: to eat healthfully, run 3 times a week, and meet a 12,000 step daily target.

For the past month, I've been doing the running, and mostly meeting my 12,000 steps goal, but the eating hasn't been fantastic. I've been maintaining weight rather than losing any. I need to get back in the habit of doing a food diary. Some of this is because I get frustrated, lose my motivation, or think that treat won't hurt. So I thought checking in with all of you would help me stay on the right track.

Sorry for the long post. Lois Lane, may I join the 2 pound a week club?

Thanks in advance for all your support. Take care. lisele

    Charlie--

    ***BLUSH***

You have just made me laugh so hard. Here I was thinking that I'd lost weight because he does the shopping, and no naughty foods seem to jump uncontrollably into the trolley like they do when I did the shopping.

Still giggling! Have a good day. lisele

I've just borrowed from the library the Paul McKenna "I can Make You Thin" book and CD, it makes a lot of sense, so I'm going to give it a go. I found a review of the book here http://www.lowfatveggiefood.co.uk/paul-mckenna-I-can-make-you-thin.htm

I haven't been in the forum for a while

I got down to WW goal but I'm currently 2.5 lbs over target due to my 'all you can eat' attitude on my trip to america

I've read the Paul McKenna book and watched most of the shows when they were on sky and they did seem to make sense - apart from the bit where he said - avoid the scales for a couple of weeks - I can't do that! I put the CD on my MP3 player - and only listen to it at home in the bedroom - it is very relaxing - and I don't want to 'zone out' on the bus!

I hate taking my husband (and/or son) food shopping as they really load the trolley with junk food that then stares at me in the cupboards!

Good Morning Lois, sorry to confuse you! I said when I stasted to loose weight at the beginning of June I was 12 stone. Now at the begining of August I am 11 stone.2lb so have lost 12lb so far.

    BUT

I did not join the 2lb club until later.....
This week I managed to loose 1lb Soooo your chart will read a total of 9lb loss

Your chart is great! I have not joined any clubs, so it is a great insentive to loose weight-reporting it for all to see. Everyone in it together and so much advice! Best Wishes...... Julie

Hi Julie - thanks for the clarification, it makes sense now. When I first started doing the chart I was keeping a total of the weight lost since joining the club, but then decided to show the total weight loss, as it was more meaningful to people who had been succeeding before the club started. So, I'll show your total weight loss as 12lbs. :T

Hi Charlie - welcome. The SW website should remember your details even if you have logged on for a while. If you can't remember your password they can email it to you. I've just logged on ok and I haven't been on for ages as I don't go to SW class anymore.

By the way, the SW password is copyright, so we shouldn't reveal it on here. Can you edit your post to remove it, as there is a danger the forum could be closed down if we're in breach of copyright.

I've added you to the 2 pound weight loss club (whether you like it or not - lol). I assume you wanted to join in, but if not just let me know and I'll take you off again.

Hi Lisele - welcome to you too. I've added you to the chart. Having something important to aim for can be a great motivator. At a rough guess I reckon its about 20 weeks until January, so if you were to maintain an average weight loss of 2lbs a week you could lose nearly 3 stone. The experts reckon a weight loss of between 1 and 2 pounds a week is healthy and means you're more likely to keep it off, so 2 pounds is quite ambitious, but can be done.

    Welcome back Ros. :)

Good luck with your weight losses all of you.

    Haha!

My husband is always telling me that sex is a good way to lose weight. Trouble is... it gives me an appetite!

p.s. on a completely different subject, and really to avoid creating another post as I'm in danger of dominating the whole thread - has anyone tried Dolmio's creamy tomato sauce? It sounds like it would be really high in fat/calories/syns, but I've just looked it up on the SW website and it's only 4 syns for the whole pouch, so less if you share it. I had it with some grilled trout, couscous and vegetables, which might have been a bit dry without it, and it really improved the meal.

Back later with the chart. Just wondering what's happened to Honey..?
